Well if exposure is desired, more people will look in the Offroading section or in the Meet and Greet section for an event than in a gen specific section.
A gen specific section is not the appropriate venue for a camping wheeling trip that many others might enjoy. This forum is meant to bring all 4Runner owners together, not segregate them by year.

So this event was cross posted last year and got zero response. I dunno why but the 5th gen section is probibly the heaviest trafficked as its the current model. But this isn't about getting more people to come its about people who want to come finding out how to come

I have a 3rd and a 5th, and drive the 3rd cause its so so much cooler!! Don't worry, I will bring the cool with me.:flamethrwoer2:
Real question though, how rough do some of these trails get? Want to know what to bring with me, or what I should be expecting.

A few folks had them last year. Although last year they were not used, wouldn't be a terrible idea... never know what can happen.

We tend to stick to the easier trails... however, [MENTION=74912]mook21[/MENTION] guided us through some of the more difficult sections.- We accidentally went up a trail called Moose last year that was a "down-only" trail which proved to be a challenge (level 5 I think?).
One of the owners (Willis who drives a 90's Land Cruiser to get around the trails) was damned impressed that we made it up Moose, especially with bone stock vehicles...He asked me where we went and said "You went UP Moose? Damn, that's down only- I'm really shocked you guys made it with no problems!" 4Runners, baby.
There are trails there that only a heavily modified buggy could make it through. Huge boulders and inclines that would be almost impossible to walk without a rope. :usa2:
Not our trip- but this is a trail we passed by at The Cove...

you weren't wheeling with the right group, winches and straps were used in addition to lockers in the group we were in. And def. used on our night wheeling expedition.
if you ever plan on going to Uwharrie or Windrock Park i'm an hour from Uwharrie and about 3.5 hrs from Windrock which is a HUUGE park!

i've been on lots of hairy trails. i tend to "follow" our friend who has a built up rig so he knows the tougher trails better. and we ended up on 6, 7, and 8 rated trails this past year and im sure glad i had my new skids on hahaha i wish i knew the names of what we went on. These trucks Handle a lot!

Scott my lil' stock 4Runner wouldn't of made it on those trails.... my hubby had a great time riding with you guys though!
