I am about to place an order for LEDs because half of my bulbs are burnt out and this will be “stage 1” of interior color swap; and then after I buy a new head unit, I’ll replaced the mounted LED for “stage 2” of this project with the little "selection" light is going to match the other color of the radio. I am going with a White (Bright, Xenon, 6000k) LEDs to match my 4Runner ('05 Limited in White with Stone leather);
Here is what I am replacing: (location – bulb size – quantity)
Running Boards – 194 – 4
Doors – 194 – 4
Parking Lights – 168 – 2
Overhead Map – 168 - 2
Overhead (center roof with Dual Zone radio) – DE3022 – 2 (I think)
Overhead (cargo) – DE3175 - 1
HVAC– Neo3 – 5
Info Center – Neo3 & Neo4 – 1 & 2 (Neo = NON-HP)
Cup Holders – 74 – 1
Gear Shifter – 74 – 1
AC 115V – Neo3 – 1
Center Diff – Neo3 – 1
RSCA Off – Neo3 – 1
DAC – Neo3 – 1
Heated Seats – Neo3 – 2
4WD selector – Neo4 – 1
Glove Box – 74 – 1
License Plate – 168 - 2
So my order is going to be:
Wedge (168/194) = 14
Festoon (DE3022/3175) = 3
Neo3 = 11
Neo4 = 3
Mini wedge (74) = 3

info center lcd is neo4 , glove box is 74, note on switching to leds on the switches, you wont be able to press the switches, stick with stock bulbs on it. 4x4 switch and window switch is neo3 but wont light up alot tho.

Sand down the neo-3's for the switches. It works.
riceandpho, I fixed that (copy paste error).
Are the bulbs too long to fit into the switches? But if I do what emelianenkov did, they should fit. Just to double check, you just sanded down the clear 'epoxy body' to shorten the bulb length? Or would it be better to run a Neo3-HP (short body), but is there enough power?
On the 4x4 and window switches; are you saying the LED won’t receive enough power (12v)?
The Info Center LCD is a pair Neo4, but the Reset/Mode button is Neo3. If I did the Neo4-HP instead, where at did you tap to get a full 12v power source? What is the “stock plug” you are referencing?
On the HVAC dial, are you using the Neo3 or Neo3-HP?

Don't use neo 3HP because the HP's require a constant 12 volt power supply, but the actual output for the switches/knobs is 4.7v originally designed for the bulbs Toyota installed.
The 4x4 switch doesn't light up well because the internal light distribution used is made for an incandescent bulb, not an LED. the incandescent bulbs project light in all directions, where as the LEDs are more directional

Regular neo3 work with 4.7v. HP require 12v
I am not ordering from SuperBrightLED or V-LED.
I have a source that will custom build LED bulbs per my specs. Thus I can get the T3 and/or T4.2 base with a SMD1210 LED. So I need to know of the T3 & T4.2 sockets, how much voltage the socket receive? Is it the full 12v or the reduced 4.7v.
Info Center: LDC display: T4.2 @ 4.7v DC, Reset/Mode button: T3 @ ??v
HVAC: T3 @ ??v
AC 115V: T3 @ 12v
Center Diff Lock switch: T3 @ 12v
DAC: T3 @ 12v
Heated Seats: T3 @ 12v
RSCA off switch: T3 @ 12v
VSC off switch: T3 @ 12v
4WD selector: T4.2 @ ??v

I'll keep you & everyone posted; since these are a custom build, I have to order ~1000 lights of each. PM me with any special requests on colors.
Other than the T3 & T4.2, I can assume that all other bulbs receive a full ~12v source?
Last few thoughts before placing a massive order:
For the 74s, I am planning on using 1 end/top SMD5050; but was would the 3x SMD1210 be better. (aka: 74-xHP -or- 74-xHP3 from SuperBrightLED)
For the 194s, I plan on using this bulb; it has 3 of the .5w elements around the base with a single 1w focused/projector Lens element on the end.
For the Festoon/31mm dome lights; which to choose: 6 SMD5050 –OR– single 1.5w element?

Hey all - I picked up a pair of NEO3's, one for my rear window up/down button and one for my reset/mode button. I did not get the HP versions, just the regular NEO3's. For the life of me without really jamming these things in there, they just seem a bit too wide. Has anyone noticed this or is this really snug fit the same everyone else has been noticing when installing them?

Get a really thin file and make the hole bigger. I do this for my customers constantly. It's a pain in the ass.

Hmm ok so its normal. So filing down the PCB or the LCD holder itself would be recommended?

My neo3 hp light up fine on the climate controls, defrost, recircular, i remember the hp disnt work on the lcd until i mod it a lil by tapping a switch source that have 12v

Yea, I'm not too sure what is which. I know the HP doesn't work though without modding
:thanks: Unclebeansie... I'm so glad I found this post (after reading through the first 23 pages to find anything on the LCD)
I got (3) Neo3-BHP for the circular HVAC controls, (3) Neo3-B for Mode/Set, defrost & air circulation buttons, and (2) Neo4-BHP for the LCD. I got all LEDs in and working except the 2 for the LCD. After reading your post, it mad sense why. I could not figure out, for the life of me, why the Neo4-BHP would not light up, flipping them both ways multiple times! My only concern with the color is that it seems the Neo3-BHP that are in the circular controls are more of a purpleish blue as compared to the regular blue looking Neo3 that are in the2 switches just below (defrost & circulation). Anybody else seem to notice that?
BUT I have absolutely no experience/idea about soldering or dealing with resistors etc. Is there any way I could get you to change out the resistors to 50 ohms on my 2 LEDs for my HVAC LCD? Please PM me and let me know if you can help me out.
