I see you have way too much free time on your hands. I think the dually's turned out decent, however an RDS would have looked way better and still gave you a 15 deg spread

I thought you had projectors with HID's before... Unless I missed something. Then again you probably don't need them with the amount of lights in front. Really nifty! :mod:

I did. They sucked. The company was Oracle or AAC style or advanced Automotive Concepts. They are all the sane company and their work is horrible. I bought myself some new headlights, bixenon projectors, shrouds, and new HIDS. I'm going to do the retro myself when I'm not busy doing other useless mods like strobes and 8 duallys.

Hey Bobby, it looks like your passenger side dually might be 3/16 inch to high. Coarse with all the flashing distractions it's hard to tell for sure. What kinda music do you play when you are in strobe mode?

Not sure if I'm the first to rock the two tone handles. But I was afraid of how the sensitivity of the Limited no touch system would be. So I decided to only plastidip the chrome part.

Turned out ok. But that's the last of the chrome.

Plastidip doesn't affect the limited no touch system at all. Also you just needed to cover the outside parts of the full door handle and spray everything. The inside part will come off with a perfect line versus the chrome and vice versa. I know because you will find the plastidip starts to wear as your tugging on it while opening the door over and over again. I have had to spray the driver's side many times and for a few weeks actually peeled parts off to look like your finished product. Feel free to spray and peel.

Looks good...might get back to that look in a few weeks as mine is peeling again.

I hear you...luckily - it peels right off and makes perfect lines/transitions to what you've done. I will probably end up back where you're at...though all black looks really good.

I see you are running the Nitto Trail Grapplers, I was wondering what your review is on them. Since I have 18 x 9 inch wheels these are one of the only more aggressive tires that come in a 285/65 18. I do not do a lot of rock crawling mostly moderate to easy trails which still have a mixture of obstacles and in the winter take the family to the snow so occasional non plowed roads.

Have any experience in how they manage on the T4R in these conditions? Would you get them again.

Before I give you my opinion about these tires, let me give you some history. My personal experience with tires on my personal vehicles are as follows: BFG M/T 35x12.5R15, BFG A/T 33X12.5R15 and 285/75R16, Michelin LTX M/S 265/70R17, and some others on the cars and bikes that I've owned but won't be relative to this conversation. The BFGs were before the KO and KM denomination came out. They were on my 93 Toy p/u. BFG 285s were on my 3rd gen. The LTXs were on my Tundra.

The Nitto TGs are louder than my BFG M/T, quieter than any of the others of course. They are better in the snow than the BFG M/T but not as good as the A/T in any size. They, surprisingly, do not hydroplane like any of the BFGs did. The BFGs were horrible in that respect. Of course the LTXs were the best in road manners and noise.

I'd probably buy them again. Mainly because I have a full size spare with matching wheel so I'd only have to buy 3. They are the best looking tire IMO when it comes to a M/T. No other tire company I've see has a sidewall as good looking as the Nitto (in a M/T).

Quick follow up, any reason why you went with the M/T over the standard Duratrac that most run on there T4R? guess my biggest hold up on them is the weight, is it noticeable too?

I'll never own a set of Goodyear truck tires. I've had too many poor experiences with the Goodyear MTRs in particular. I know there are rave reviews for the Duratracs and I believe them. I'm sure it's a really good tire. First, they're not a true M/T (which is the look I wanted) and second, they're Goodyears.

The MTRs struck a bad chord with me when they were first introduced as the factory Jeep Rubicon tire. You couldn't keep those tires from feathering or getting choppy no matter how religiously you balanced and rotated them. EVERY Jeep Rubicon that came in with the death wobbles had those tires on them or a bad track bar. Don't get me started on Chrysler and track bars. They're horrible in almost the entire Chrysler line up. If you own a Dodge, you know what I'm talking about.

I believe the new MTR tread pattern is a lot better. I'm sure its a much better tire than the previous design. I find it very coincidental that newer JKs are now equipped with BFGs and not GYs.

My opinion was formed from the experience I had at High Tech when I dealt with hundreds of Jeep wobble problems. But the last straw was our 'in house' test. The owner wanted to test them out on his Jeep. We bought a set, installed them, and religiously balanced and rotated every 5k and aligned every 10k. This was absolute overkill. Even with a meticulous record, the MTRs couldn't stay flat. They became noisy and unevenly worn within the first year. Since then, I'm afraid to try a Goodyear product.

Wish I would have seen this thread before they CUT open my headlights. I am holding reservation for now, but this is not looking good at all.

Hopefully they've gotten all the practice they needed with my headlights. I think they did it 4 times. I truly hope yours turn out well. Good luck.

On another note, I have been MIA for the past two weeks. Long story short, there were 2 deaths in my family within days of each other. I lost my grandmother who raised me as a child and my father in law 3 days later. Needless to say, it's been a two week roller coaster of emotions and travel. Now it's time to get back to some normalcy. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.
