Easy Weekend Mods

My easy weekend mod was to connect the rear bumper lights, don't know If in the US they came connected, in panama the 4runners bring them without cables or holes in the assembly. So I had to connect a wire to the stop rear tail light and bought a connector in the shop. After that drill a hole in the bumpers light that have the hole but with plastic.

Yet another ghetto body lift! I ran wheels from skates as my first body lift they are a good cheap way to get a inch and 5/16" or so some wheels are thicker and thinner I just knocked out the bearings and put little longer grade 8 bolts and ran with no problems for a year till I got full 3" tacoma body lift kit goodwill or a cheap skateboard wheels will work

Interesting! How would this effect emissions testing?

Today I plasti-dipped the part of the side mirrors that connects them to the car. They were faded and beginning to get rough and almost splintered, so I coated them. Went on well, no issues. Sorry, no pics, but an easy, simple "mod" nonetheless.

I need to do the same thing! Mine look and feel like sandpaper. How much was it in total?

ato rola rack mod

Finally got around to taking some pics of this mod , really like how low it rides compared to sitting up so high . Anyway with the urban rack it's a tight fit & make sure you have all the nuts, washers ,parts .

Wow that looks AWSOME! I never heard of those, looked me up on amazon for $35+ $8 shipping. Can't wait to do this! Where you able to use the stock wiring?

yep it just plugs in. you just have to swap over the plastic part of the adjustment screw

NJshadow93 Tinted fogs!!!

and thats where my other fogs went after i got them.
so if you can find someone to buy the old ones its an added bonus

plasti-dip center caps

Saw this on a 5th gen thread and knocked it out yesterday. I like the look of the black center caps. Popping off the center caps with the spade end of the tire tool is easy or you could use a flathead screwdriver as well. Popping off the plastic Toyota logos was a PIA, so I thought I'd give a heads up on that part. They are held in place by four small plastic positioning posts. One post comes through the back side of the cap by about 3/8" of an inch and is not glued in place. The other three posts have been cut flush with the back side of the center cap and siliconed in place. It's best to dremmel off the silicone on the other three posts and then pop off the Toyota logo with a thin pry. The fifth gen is a much better design and is easily removable. The rest was a piece of cake. Easy project if you dig the look.
