I have seen PD smoke...any knowledge of how well this works?

I dipped my headlights but only the top. Tried to smoke them with PD but that failed hardcore so I just settled with a Partially dipped headlight. Nite Shade will work but Make sure you don't over do it. Or... you can look for a light tint and let me know how that turns out. I haven't been able to tint anything in this state with the weather changing so randomly. Not yet at least...

Got any pics? I cant picture it.

I might try to do the whole remove, bake and paint process. If I do, I think I will go with a color between silver and black...

Any pics of "blacked-out" headlights that dont actually use black paint?

I wouldn't use Nightshades on your headlights. If you want to tint them i would use Lamin-x. You can pick your shade of tint. Their stuff is awesome.

Another vote for Lamin-X.... Used it on my fog lights.... The stuff is awesome!

Did you install an amp with your headunit? I took my dash apart yesterday and decided I'm going to order the parking brake override and an amp to power the sound. If you didn't add an amp, how does it sound right out of the headunit?

are you doing the parking break override so you can play the dvd player while you're driving...? all you have to do for that is just ground the parking break wire from the head unit into the same ground as the radio. it "tricks" the head unit into thinking that the vehicle's parking break is set all the time.

the lamin x seems easy, although a bit pricey if your doing all lights, why not do it the OG way with black candy paint and clear.. although candy is pricey, you dont need much for all the lenses, would be alot cheaper then the laminx.. although i presume the lamin x would also have a durability factor especially if offroading..

Lamin-x is very durable, plus you can remove it whenever you decide to sell. If you paint them you are pretty much going to have to replace them if you want them looking stock again.

plastidip/removed running boards

this weekend i plastidipped the front grille, and removed running boards. still deciding if i like the no-running boards look, but it was pretty simple.
