Finally getting around to doing the angel/halo eyes stuff...
I of course was inspired by the Dark Knight.
So I ordered the same Halo Kit off ebay (which they look like they should be nice, havent powered them up yet trying to fit them first)
As I used my junk head light to start mocking up the halo... I realized you can't center the low beam very easily... I looked closer at the Dark Knights and his are not centered. He did notch out the highbeam housing area a bit.
So I figured why not try to center it... This is what I have so far... As for attaching them to the light bezel/trim. I plan on using the smallest safety lock wire I can find... The wire holding them on in the pic below is from the local hobby store (very fine craft SS beading wire). I got some really small hollow alumn. tube and ran the wire through them and pulled them tight. (temporary) When I get my safety lock pliers to properly tighten the wire to the halos they will be secure. I plan on applying glue over all the finalized lock wire tube knots I made. There is a drilled hole at the 3 points where the wire is installed behind the halo.
So I cut to much of the high beam housing out but I now have an idea of how much to remove to make the halo slide over enough to center. (not much really) I was thinking maybe the halo would be covered by the high beam housing but it looks fine to me... You can barley see the wires holding the halo on. I just can't stand glue/epoxy on it's own it's a matter of when not if... When real saftey lock wire is used properly even if the glue fails the wire will not. I couldn't think of any other way of attaching them with out plastic welding or some possible way of messing up my brand new $200.00 halo kit...
I have not figured out how I am mounting the High beam halo but will keep ya'll posted.
btw I plan on painting the chrome bezels color match (dark blue)
