Posted this in the 3rd Gen section but thought it might get more exposure here.
Help:Anyone in Norcal w/experience URD 7th inj tuning?
Anyone in the Bay Area or Northern California with experience in tuning URD’s 7th injector with the R4 software, that can help me out? I’m new to this, and I took my rig to a place in San Jose that Split Second recommended, they were not that well versed in the system or software and it was a waste of time. In the end after solving communication errors between their computer and the FTC they said they couldn’t tune it because the FTC was only seeing 1 pound of boost. They fiddled with the existing map but it actually runs worse than it did before. When I got home I opened the glove box (that’s where the ftc is mounted) and found that in the course of the tuning shop swapping cords and moving everything around they pinched the line that comes from the boost port to the box. I don’t want to take another day off of work to drive down to San Jose and have them look at it again.

Bay Area shops

Hey, not sure if my shops has the specific experience your talking about, but they are Toyota specialists and the lead mechanic is really knowledgeable. Also another tech is a close friend of mine. It's called Pat's garage in San Francisco. (Potrero Hill area). Phone number is 415-647-4500 ask for Richie. He will at the least be honest and tell you if he can't help you. Also if you PM me I can possible talk to either my friend (the regular tech) or Rich about doing work on the side. The owner allows them to do side work after hours at the shop.

Address of the shop is 1090 26th St, but the entrance is on Indianna St.

Everytime I have worked on my 3rd gen and had a question Rich or my friend have had the right answer off the top of their head.

i am in need of the same thing since i am ordering the 7th injector this week.

who did you end up going with and did they do a good job? i'll try calling the numbers car toons posted as well!
