This video from the first post shows all of that. I took this after installing the 06 headlights but I no longer run the lower DRLs in the bumper, just the ones in the 06 headlight assembly.

Just wanted to say thank you to [MENTION=127401]Krayziekid[/MENTION] for this thread and all the help he gave me! Install is very straightforward other than that pesky 4th bolt under the bumper! I have an 05 w/o DRL's and wanted to use the new 06 turn signals as my parking light as well so I wired both colored wires from the new harness to the green wire of the stock parking light. Wired a 35w 5000k HID kit to the lows and LED's for the two parking lights.

Great write-up. I may be able to help for those not looking to spend a fortune on headlights. Depo is one of the better choices for aftermarket headlights, better than TYC. I can get the Depo versions of these and can probably help you guys out. Has anyone tried the Depo yet?

What do you mean? Are you talking about the 03 factory socket part# or the new 06 factory socket part#?

Hmmm I'm honestly not sure how you would go about doing that.

Personally I think this was cost effective. I am not a huge fan of the aftermarket headlights, cause I always seem to have bad luck, but plenty of other people seem to have good experiences. I will gladly pay a bit more for OEM housings. In my mind, it was 100% worth it.

As for performance, I again think it was 110% worth it. The 06 headlights definitely offer more light down the road with the right bulbs and it is an upgrade I was happy to have.

So I just tested my theory and it seems I am wrong. Dual LED bulbs (4 in total in the front) still don't pull enough in order to not hyperflash. Seems a bit odd. I thought it would work.

I tested with some TRS 4157 LED bulbs for the bottom, and then just some autozone 1156 LED bulbs up top. It will still work with one normal filament bulb, and one LED bulb, but the way they flash looks funky, as the LED is on/off, and the filament sorta fades in and out, making it look strange. Since there is a 27w cap for each side, I think I'm just going to use normal filament bulbs for both and stay under that 27w max.

It's a shame the dual LEDs didn't work. Would have really liked it to. That being said, are there any other LEDs that I should look in to that may put out more light/draw more power? I tried to figure out how much wattage the TRS bulbs draw, but couldn't. Would dual TRS or VLED bulbs make a difference?

I don't know if this answer is too simple, but in order to fix the flashing/load problem without having different looking flashers in front, what if you kept regular bulbs in all 4 front turn signals, and put led's in the REAR? That way, you don't overload everything, and the different flash is only seen from the rear (or side, I guess)?

That might work, but honestly I'm fine just running the normal bulbs for now. They get the job done.

I'm not sure if the relay is 4 channels @ 27w each though. If that is the case, then that means changing the back won't affect the front at all.

I did this mod back in October of 2015 and left the DRLs and parking lights alone, but i am thinking about connecting these lights up to see what they look like. (getting bored with no mods to do)

I saw your steps 9-21 where you connected the DRL lights and parking lights into the existing wiring, but i want to go a little different route and use the OEM connectors/harness and create a 4 inch long adapter between the two different type of connectors. (i know one is two wires and one is three wires so i will need to add power or a ground in the mix)

Do you or anyone know the part numbers for the pics below for the opposite end connectors/harness? From that i will create some type of adapter... i did see where someone found the wire connector/harness in a junkyard on a 92 Celica, wired things up, but could not find the part numbers.

Not sure if it will make a difference but I just remembered that the original 2005, two wire connector/harness was for a bulb.

and the 06 wire connector/harness is for another harness to connect into.

I honestly have no clue what the part numbers are for those connectors. You might be able to look around on camelbaktoyota as they have some pretty good diagrams, but beyond that, I don't think I'll be any help. Sorry!

Actually you have been a big help, i looked around and it appears the best option is to just cut the ends off and solder things together, just like you did with steps 9 - 21 on your first page.
