Oh man!!! You got me! The field monitor unit has been on the back burner since it doesn't match my tab interior... it's grey... so I'm still on the fence to whether or not I will truly get that running. I really enjoy my sunglasses holder so it's a tough move to actually get that going.... the snorkel on the other hand is DEF a GO & I've been sourcing the hardware, & intake tube over time so I can install it... with all that said I bought another fender In case I F up the stock thundercloud one that I have on now... so once I get my gosh darn crap together, tim & I will be making a video on the Tacoma ARB snorkel install. So stay tuned! Please please PLEASE document your FMU install so others can benefit from your experience!

Hahahaha sorry didn't mean to call you out bro! :faint: I have the same issue, my unit came in Grey and I have the tan Oak. I purchased some plastic spray paint and will be doing it this weekend, with an install hopefully Monday now. I am very nervous on doing it myself, with all the wiring (what I am worst at). I will be sure to take pics and document everything as much as I can. I will have my best friend helping so that will be a plus. Cant wait to see the snorkel. Up next on my list is an ARB bumper M8000 synthetic winch and then that ARB snorkel.

today I swapped my front seats with a set i got from a buddy & replaced my "D" light in the dash cluster in hopes to get rid of the VSC OFF/ VSC TRAC lights that have been on ever since i got an alignment a couple years ago...could it be a defective wheel sensor?

I read on some thread a while back that when a light is out on the cluster or the shifter it could cause this...

I have tried many attempts at the zero point calibration with no success.

Having lights on my dash is just plain annoying & it just sucks i haven't been able to solve this issue.

Have you ever done the andy mod 2.0 yet? If so, maybe a short in the wiring? Thats what ended being my problem when the lights came on.

I have not done the Andy mod 2.0 yet because I wanted to solve this issue before I put it a switch which will disable this safety feature... it says funny how I want to fix it before I just go ahead & disable it again...

It's just really curious that this happened during/right after an alignment had been done.. this is why I'm curious if a wheel sensor is involved here... it could have been knocked by the tech & done something to that effect.

Go ahead and run a jumper and count the number of your flashes.

In my case it was due to the LED's. (Apparently, [MENTION=115590]StreetCreeper[/MENTION] found LED's that actually work in our combo meters without throwing the codes. Curious to see what the fix turns out to be.

Ok cool. Thanks for responding with a link to your thread.. I don't have any LED's in my dash cluster. They are all OEM bulbs & again it was curious it happened after an alignment...

Anyways I will have to try the zero point calibration & YAW sensor calibration again..

Every time I went to do it though it never flashed the way it was suppose to. It would always flash the check engine light & it never worked

One of my buddies had the same issue on his fj after an alignment. I believe one of his abs sensors were loose and the wire connecting it was pinched

Does anyone know of a way to test an ABS cable & sensor? Can you use a multimeter somehow?

Sean, I had those lights in my 02 and it turned out to be ABS sensor/wiring and got a code of PO500. Bet the alignment tech knocked loose a sensor or two. Does your speedometer not work, right?

I don't think that was me – or I'm way too lit to remember But I don't think it was me as I don't have any of that fancy VSC TRAC stuff in my 97. So I only replaced the three main gauge bulbs to LED. If I recall though, I attempted to switch some of the peripheral bulbs to LED and the truck told me to fuk off by going on the fritz. So I took them back out and just stayed with regular bulbs.

My speedometer works fine.... I just wonder if I should go on some dirt roads & try to get the ABS to kick on.. I don't recall ever getting my ABS to engage with this truck... my last one that was a green SR5 had overactive ABS... The lights are annoying & I think it's a nice safety feature to have, so it's a bummer it's disabled

Did you already buy a smaller pulley? My 2.1 just came in the mail...hoping to install soon! Looking forward to seeing your progress. Congrats on the BOOST!

I felt the same way when I installed my supercharger, but I knew it was a bad idea buying one because I’d want more boost.

Sure enough I do. More than likely what I’m going to purchase with some tax return money is the 7th and a smaller pulley.
