How are Hefty Aluminum Skids working out? Their products look pretty awesome and if they work for you they would be plenty for me...LOL!

Thanks! So far so good, haven't had a chance to abuse them yet but they appear to be super stout. I wanted to keep everything aluminum to keep the rig as light as possible and glad I did, don't really even notice the weight of the bumpers and skids.

OP - any rubbing with the 285's?

Nope, not rubbing at all right now. I did rub slightly at full lock when reversing when I had the hidden winch but that was due to the extra weight up front without anything in the rear to really balance it out.

Nice runner, one of my top choice for an aftermarket bumper especially aluminum. How did you manage to put up your RTT given the sharp edge of the roof rack? Btw, digging the Giant color scheme, pretty clean looking ride.

Decided to take the fiance on a trip through Colorado to get the Hefty Fab bumpers and skids installed. We went from Moab to Telluride, over Ophir Pass to Silverton, over Engineer Pass to Lake City, up to Crested Butte, Crested Butte to Aspen, Aspen to Colorado Springs, Colorado Springs to Breckenridge, Breckenridge to Steamboat Springs, and Steamboat back to Salt Lake. The passes were easy and the scenery was beautiful so it kept her happy. And the guys at Hefty Fab did an awesome job on bumpers and skids, can't wait to go really use them now!

Thanks man, love the Giant Reign as well. Picked it up last fall and it's been the best all-mountain bike I've ridden.

With two people it's pretty easy to put the tent up on the rack. I just leave it up there all the time so I'm not taking it on and off either. Since we do a lot of overland trips during the winter as well I plan to leave it on all winter and fab up a way to mount my skis to the left swing out when I take the Rotopax off.
