Here are pics of the two proprietary(?) connections you will find inside the sub box. The Yellow and Green wires appear to be labeled as Negative.

Please if you can respond today as I have the car torn apart to access the subwoofer, did you have to drill your own holes into the enclosure? The Rockford Fosgate sub does not line up with stock holes.

I just made my own holes for the ones that didn't line up

Can anyone in this thread that has used the stock JBL enclosure post a quick vid ~15-30 sec of the sound with the new sub (liftgate open standing at rear bumper)?

I'm trying to get a feel for the sub sound before replacing.

Edit: Doesn't need to be a bass test, just something with bass in it, for example:
Katy Perry - Dark Horse
Chris Brown - Love More
Far East Movement - Like a G6
Usher - Yeah
Anything hip-pop (Ludacris, etc,)
whatever you got... Doesn't have to be Magic Mike from 1990 or anything. :)

I don't know what good a video would do you, but my JL 8W1 powdered by an Alpine M250 (150w rms at 4 ohm) is a huge improvement over stock. It doesn't hit really low like a 10 or 12,bit it's a huge improvement.

A video would do me a major amount of good in the distortion department.

Obviously it's going to sound like crap over a phone/camera mic, and that same mic won't pick up the same low frequencies, but nevertheless, I'd like to hear it.

There are a ton of sub videos out there, but not a single one of a replacement sub in the OEM JBL enclosure.

There will be vibes. I matted (raammat) and foamed (PS Ensolite) the whole sub enclosure area of the cab as well as the rear door. i'm still hunting down a few more rattles. i sometimes get vibe in the opposite side of the cargo area (no mat or foam yet) and have some vibe in the rear bumper trim piece. Oh, and the speaker grill vibeds just a little bit... I matted part of it, but now i'm thinking about foaming all of its contact points.

I hope this helps you. I doubt any of my rattles would be very noticeable on my phone.
