The temps were over 10 degrees above the average for the end of June. The average high is 87 but it was 99-100 both days we were there. Yuck.

We called beforehand and they said the river had gone way down but to check with the rangers the day we got there. When we did they said it was passable so we went for it. This was in Upheaval Wash.

Took a trip up the Alpine Loop Scenic Loop today after a work party. Found a short trail to take too.

Ordered rear 5100's to match the front. Also got an AOB switch and 22" OPT7 light bar. Just waiting for [MENTION=133346]BradBrad619[/MENTION] to make more brackets!

Got my behind the grill light bar all installed last night. 22" OPT7 using brackets from [MENTION=133346]BradBrad619[/MENTION]. Love it already. Mostly followed what [MENTION=120701]Cymon[/MENTION] did for his, though my AOB wires were reversed from what he posted.

Beef Basin & Elephant Hill Pt 1

Weekend trip in October with my parents and youngest brother. We didn't really have a plan except that my Mom really wanted to see Ruin Park and my dad decided we should do Elephant Hill. His '06 is stock except for larger tires. Surprisingly he came away with no damage except for scrapes on his skid plate (probably 'cause I did a helluva job spotting him, not to brag or anything). I did about $70 worth to my exhaust when my rear end came down on a ledge and the chrome exhaust tip didn't give so the pipe bent up underneath instead. I also somehow managed to lose a lug from the front passenger tire. I didn't notice until I took in in to get serviced a couple of days after we got back. The stud broke about halfway down it's length. So if you find a lug on the Elephant Hill trail, I'd like it back.

I hate mud.

Jeep came down behind us. He was a pretty nice guy. Zero to hero with that thing. He purchased it about a month prior and spend many $$$ immediately to mod it up. He also said things like "I love your TRD Pro!" and "Have you seen Expedition Overland?" so it was hard to take him seriously.

Three wheeling. I refused to move until dad stood on the bumper. Having never been in a situation like that it felt pretty darn scary to me. There was no other line to take either.

Pretty sure dad scraped something here, based on the look on my face.

Beef Basin & Elephant Hill Pt 3

One of two spots you have to reverse up. I was wishing that the backup camera screen was about 10 times bigger than it is.

Going up the back of the actual Elephant Hill obstacle. You can see where they've poured some asphalt and cement to make it a little (i.e. a lot) easier. Can see that my exhaust pipe end is lower here than it should be. I was also missing the lug from the front right tire by this point as well.

Right after we got off the hill, a couple of drunk dudes in an Acura sedan went about 100 ft up the trail. We were yelling at them to stop but they about high centered the car on the trail. So funny. Then a couple of modded 2nd gen Taco's came down the hill and we chatted with them for about 1/2 hour.

Hit 20,000 miles today on my way home from a business trip. It's only been 10 months, 16 days since I bought it. Seems like I like to drive. I did get off the freeway and do several circuits of a little ranch access road so I could see it happen. :car:

White Rim Trail, Moab UT March 2017

White Rim trip this weekend. Got a new camera so I wanted to go play with it. I'm still very very novice at it and am still figuring out how to use it and playing with all the modes. Pics of my brother's Taco and dad's '06 included.

It handled it just fine. White Rim isn't very technical or difficult, just a winding narrow-ish dirt road with some really nice views.

I previously owned an '01 SR5 that I had built just a little bit. I sold it to my dad for my younger brothers to use so it'll stay in the family.

Saving to buy a house sucks, 'cause I don't have any money to spend on Kylo. Two things happened recently though.

Added JBL GX302 speakers to the dash. The passenger side was a PITA to get in.

and I hit 40,000 miles. In 25 months. On a lease that's only supposed to be driven 12k/year. :car:
