The $250 is good price in my opinion. I had a much larger scratch from a very minor fender bender(woman claim she was reading direction from a printout and didn't see the car was stopped). Body shop total was about $480 including replacing the rubber stopper with the Toyota logo on the tow hitch. Her insurance paid for everything including a loaner Ford Edge for the 2 days in the shop. I think her car was a Corolla and had lot more damage than that. So I would take it to the place for $250.

I can see not caring if I went on trails all that time, but I don't. This is my pride and joy that I paid cash for, and that I might ad, took a long time to save up to buy. I like my autos to look clean inside and out with 100% scheduled maintenance done. If I get a dent/scratch or knick I get it taken care of whether it be big or small or that I could possibly get another the next day.

Fair enough. I personally like buying vehicles slightly used with minor scrapes and scratches(no dents). That way I don't have to cry and beat myself up if I scratch it or something. I use my trucks and they spend time off-road.

Is your 4Runner 100% stock and do you plan to keep it that way? I always look to upgrade when I need new parts, but if you're planning on keeping it stock that might not be an option for you.

There's a superstitious saying that scratches can give you good luck for not getting into a BIG accident. I understand how you want to keep it in immaculate condition but there's some lunatic out there who wants to ruin someone's nice vehicle.

Well I use my truck, just not in an extreme way. My truck comes in very handy when it dumps down snow. I live in Reno and ski up at Tahoe, so when there is a blizzard out side I feel I didn't waste my money (not that anyone said I did). I'm just pointing out that just because its not a trail rig, it still serves a huge purpose for me (or my wife:trophy LOL

I would line X or rihno line that middle section with color match spray then you don't have to worry about bumping it hooking up a trailer or what have you.
