Name these Sliders

I will be doing a full write up on Metal Tech's OPOR sliders in the near future. helocat and LT needed confirmation that their SR5 sliders will work for a limited with XREAS. Even though I've removed the struts/shocks of the XREAS system, the hydraulic canister is still there.

For those of you looking to install sliders that serve the purposes of a step and do NOT want to remove the factory rocker panels, I believe this is the choice for you! I will not be doing any hardcore rock crawling and I believe the loss of 2" ground clearance at the rockers is negligible. These sliders look to be my ticket.

Do the MT Sliders stick out as far as the Bud Built sliders? In other words, are they the same dimensions? The MT sliders look narrower in some of the pictures on their website.

@ Danny, Another thing to consider since you have TE rockers now is NFab makes some sliders with Bolt on steps for the TE. If you knew you were going for a hard wheeling trip you could unbolt them or at worse if you broke a step they're not as expensive to replace. Only thing is it gives the truck that 90s Ford truck step look, so if you're not a fan of that it may be out.

Any updated pictures of your conversion progress? :naughty:

Yes sir! it's been a few months now :)

Hey Danny have you ever seen these before? http://www.toyota-4runner.org/5th-gen-t4rs/90732-shrockworks-step-slider-step-board-te.html

I think it should work w/ the XREAS lines (since I haven't heard any one with an LE complaining about shrockworks sliders NOT fitting :))

The design seems similar to what you are looking for, maybe you can see if they still offer these...

I forgot about those! Another version we have since done on an FJ Cruiser....

And a 3D rendering of an idea I had for the full 4 door 5th Gens. I plan to build out a set of these for my 3rd Gen 4Runner so that we can get some pictures of an actual slider installed...

We finally got a limited through the shop and have test fitted our sliders. We will be offering a limited version for those that still have XREAS.

What's the price roughly on these?

The dimpled tread plate can be applied to any of our sliders for an additional $49, so that would put our 5th gen sliders right at $570 powder coated.

Will these fit on XREAS equipped runners?
On that diagram, how far out do the sliders stick out, trying to imagine how much a footing can be planted.

Regarding the dimpled tread plate, can that be installed without any openings or is it just the design you have above?

TxBxSx Have these sliders been produced for a 5th Gen? Any Pictures?!!

From that second pictured (rendered 5th gen) is the second mini diamond plate positioned under the front door or rear door?

We recently had one of the members of the forum here put in an order for these. They have yet to be completed, but I will make sure to get some pictures of them before they leave here.

The smaller tread plate is positioned under the rear door, and the larger one under the front door.

Thanks!

Thanks, looking forward for pics!

Fit on SR5

Will the 5th gen Sliders pictured above ( ShrockWorks) fit the SR5 with the factory rocker panel left in place or will it need to be removed? I am in the market for sliders and have been on the fence as to which to buy. I like "this" about one brand and "that" about another brand. These look like they are exactly what I like from all the ones on my short list combined into one. Eagerly awaiting more info.

They won't fit with stock rockers, you would need to cut or purchase their version of the TE rocker moulding Trail Edition Rocker Trim, 5th Gen 4Runner

These are what I want! Can you do full tread? And what's the price looking like?
