Well I've had this 4Runner since March 09, and I didn't really think much of it till a month ago. I decided I was going to keep it instead of getting a WRX because I really needed something to tow the race car and boat. It needed tires so I got some 275/70/17 BFGs and that just ignited the fire. I couldn't stand the look of the sunken wheels anymore so I took off my mud flaps and then got some 1.5 inch lug centric spacers(oops). I also have a Toytec 1 inch coil spacer ready to go in for the front too. I had some free time yesterday so I got a little muddy hah! Here are a couple pics of my past cars and the 4Runner as of yesterday. My main concern at the moment is the fact I have lug centric spacers and stock wheels. I didn't do my research and now I have a pretty significant wobble and vibration from 50mph-65mph. I just wanted to know whether I should get my wheels rebalanced or try and sell the spacers and get hubcentric. Anyway, I'm glad I turned fanatical hah. E30 track car project car coming soon btw :lookout:

RVARunner...are you on e90post at all? i seem to recognize your miata from some autocross pictures on e90post.com

dam I wish i had this many cars when i was a junior, i love the m3s :]
I definitely have been very lucky, but I've worked a damn lot too.

Hey man, welcome. Definitely try to get hubcentric. Spidertrax seems to be the running theme around here. About a $100 I believe..here's a link to J.A.'s site, really really good info there. Best of luck

Toyota 4Runner Wheel Spacers
See I already have these on the truck, so I'm thinkin it might be best to try and make them work. I'm seeming to find that if I just take it to a lugcentric wheel balancing shop, they could take care of it. Anyone care to back this up?

Nope, I'm on BF.C and E46Fanatics. A lot of my photos get cross posted so possibly hah?

Nice looking 4runner! If you were here in Texas I would hit you up to auto x!
And I would accept the invitation. I need to get this miata sold and start my e30 project so I can get some track time this season.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! Still have the issue with the spacers. I'm looking for an answer on whether or not I can just take the car to a shop that can do lug centric wheel balancing and be fine. Or maybe get hubcentric rings?

Just a refresher, I have stock hubcentric wheels and I made the mistake of buying lugcentric spacers. HALP!

Welcome! I'll make one suggestion: find you a set of FJ Cruiser stock springs to pur on with the Toytec spacer. 1" isn't quite enough to fully level it, plus the FJ springs help the ride tremendously. I gained 1.5" with my front FJ springs and Toytec spacer (link in sig with info).

i know u can get rings & lugs to make a lug centric wheel work, not sure what u can do with the lug centric spacers tho. check the classifieds, maybe 100 or so.

I did the same thing when I ordered for my 98 18 months ago. They're still sitting on my porch. They will not work and only create shaking. I would advise cutting your losses and ordering the hub centric ones. You could go a route to try and make the lug centric ones work but I spent more money trying to get them balanced and aligned that I would have if I had just bought the right set!

save yourself the time, frustration and money, buy the hub centric ones. I think im going to get a set for my 06 but im undecided at this point and have too many other plans.

No amount of wheel balancing will fix that mistake. E-bay the lug-centric spacers and buy some Hub-centric Spidertrax from Burtman.

You can try to re-balance, to then find you spent more money and have not fixed the issue.
