Next BigBear Run Date?

What runs do you guys have in mind or play it by ear? Stock 4x4 should be fine for most big bear runs unless you're on dishpan, 2N17X, and parts of john bull.

Last time we ran 3N16 to get to 2N06X(Lower Larga Flats) then linked up with 3N93. Both of these were 'black diamond' and pretty tough for my stock 88( though not undoable, check the vids). Depending upon what types of rigs show up we may do it again. Although with the majority being near stockers/DDs it'll depend upon the OPs willingness for potential damage. As of now the 'planned route will be 3N17 to 3N11C to 3N56 then head south and do 3N08. An alternate will be to head east to 3N61. These are all 'blue sq.' trails. They all can be done in a stock 4RNR with decent rubber. We will pass by the turn-off to 3N10(JohnBull) for those who are interested.

I'll probably have sliders before this run, so I'd like to try them out :D

I'm down for whatever though, from a fire road to dishpan.

What sliders are you installing? Thats my next build item. I'm thinking going with savage sliders. I'll be on the run on the 29th if nothing comes up. I want try the new tundra brakes I just installed and meet all you people.

I'll more than likely be there. I'm game for the harder runs as well. What is the meet up time for those of us that couldn't make the last one?

As long as we're not on the "hardcore" trails, then I'm a go. My truck can probably handle it, but I'm still a noob. lol

Speaking of which...are the planned trails 2wd friendly? If so, I've got a buddy that might come out as well.

Kraze the meet-up time is 7:30, then head out around 8:30. Nihkon these trails are medium rated trails. They can be tough. However u should be just fine. They are definitely 4wd only though. There are an abundance of 2wd friendly trails up there for ur buddy to enjoy.

This run is still on... Its been awhile since I first posted this(4/23), but yeah its still on. You still down BCJ, 4RDaily, Keemon(+Danny), AZN, COB, Nihkon, DLAK, Kraze, Offroad guy and anyone else who expressed interest? I think theres an alternate, more hardcore run that day also but idk.

I should be able to make this. I have to build sliders and install my lift. I would love to do Holcomb but I want to learn how to drive this pos first. Lol. Is this Valero, the one in Rimforest?

No, Running Springs. Although Jmoney may have a different meet-up spot since he wants to run dishpan and it starts in Arrowhead(west to east).

I'm still interested if we're still sticking to the non-hard trails.

Also...it might be a good idea to update the first post with all the information, so that people don't have to dig through every post to find it.

OK great. I'm in.

Where is the meet up exactly? I dont know big bear at all.

Just want to casually suggest putting all the pertinent info in the first post.....

The Valero station at 32755 California 18, Running Springs, CA 92382

Google maps seems to be weird about that address for some reason. If you search for it, it should be in between Running Springs and Arrowbear Lake, not up north of Running Springs as Google seems to suggest at times.

Yeah if we have a good group interested in dishpan we can meet up somewhere a little different since dishpan starts off hook creek rd in arrowhead. Or we can just meet up and then just hit up holcomb creek and john bull backwards if time permits. Anyone have any suggestions?

That's a good idea J. You can do Dishpan, link up to to Holcomb, then do JB . I know u wanna do some harder stuff. I do too, just need to armor up a bit and get a locker. Some guys like Kraze have the right stuff to tackle these runs and should! But, as you've read in the posts, a lot of guys aren't up for the hardcore runs, and that was my intent, to get as many of our members out on the trails as possible. I want them to bring their families and have a wonderful time. Multiple runs is an awesome solution, everybody gets the adventure they're ready for... :driving:

for sure i agree. Maybe some people just want to meet everyone regardless of the run they want to go on?. THats why im thinking just meet at valero and those that want can go run holcomb creek and jb Of if its just a small group we can just start wherever.
