This one took me forever to get started. I tried contacting Excide, they expressed NO interest in this. I contacted Optima and they pretty much ignored my constant requests for a discount. I couldn't get a vendor to provide discounts on Odyssey.



Northstar, on the other hand replied and directed me to a distributor that's more than willing to work with me with this one.

Do you have any specifics regarding the battery you're talking about? The term "deep cycle" is often thrown around a lot incorrectly ( not saying you are at all). From my understanding, true deep cycle batteries do not make for good automotive batteries as they have much lower cranking amp abilities (but excellent draining/recharging abilities)

Buy yes, type 35s is a battery that fits some T4Rs. I think type 27 as well. Exact size will vary depending on year make and engine size. Toyotas website as a PDF which lists the exact battery size for all Toyota vehicles.

For those that do not know, Northstar batteries are made in Springfield, MO by a group of the engineers that started, and later split off from Odyssey Battery, which are made a few hours away in Warrensburg, MO.

i had to call the distributor on this one:

you will contact the distributor and he will ask you to go to your nearest auto parts store to test it out.

if the auto parts store finds the battery defective, the distributor will send you a new battery.

more than likely the distributor will want to talk to the autoparts store to obtain data from the testing.

not trying to be difficult, but looking at the test results posted:
Even with the group buy discount, it would be cheaper to go with a die hard platinum for about equal performance.
Am i missing something here?

X2Power batteries from Batteries Plus are the equivalent to the Diehard platinum batteries for Odyssey.

24- $249.99
27- $274.99
