Quick question for you guys. What are you guys using for relays for the individual accessories, such as lights? Are you guys just mounting them off to the side or do you have a specific way to incorporate them into a simple platform? I've seen some people use relay blocks like the Hella Relay Box below to keep it simple and sealed.

Another question is what is the advantage to using the Blue Sea Fuse Block over say a Bussmann Relay and Fuse Block that is all incorporated into one sealed unit? Then you can just run your breakers and ignition relay separately. I am still new to electrical stuff so that's why I'm asking. I'd like to keep things as simple and functional as possible when I do this upgrade.

I haven't priced out all the stuff on this thread yet, but I do have the fused block already. I can get 5 30 or 40 amp cube relays off of Amazon for $12. I remember in the past I started to price out those kind of relay holders and then the mini relays and such and the price just kept getting higher and higher. Plus, I think I couldn't find one that had a main power connection to feed that block. Though it looks like that bottom pic, may have that kind of setup. I do like the looks of these "all in one" type of blocks, but I have an idea for my cube relays that I think will look pretty sweet.

Can you tell me how you wired into the ignition? I have my own idea but still wanted to hear what you did, likely that it's better than what I would do. I'm (finally) about to get around to doing all my wiring and that's the only thing I wanted to clarify before I started.

There are some online places that do it. I've never used any, but a quick search showed something like this place, Big Blue Saw - Waterjet and Laser Cutting - Instant Quote

Upload your AI file, choose a thickness and color and boom, done. Probably a bit spendy compared to what the cost was here, but....

When hooking this up with the ignition relay, can you bypass a single item through the fuse block? I want my fridge to have constant power but the other switches like lights to be on the relay. Would this cause for no relay to be used or would I just have to wire it differently?

These were originally made from acrylic, correct? I bought some acrylic with plans to make my own custom platform but I realized that acrylic is only rated to withstand 190-200 F or so. I've been reading about engine bay temps and, while there is a lot of variances, it seems one often used standard is 100 degrees over ambient temp. Given that it hits 100 degrees quite often here, my concern is the panel melting. Has anyone had issues who lives in a hot climate? I went ahead and ordered some Lexan which tolerates ~ 275, but I couldn't get it in the color I wanted.
