I was just about to ask about this seeing how there is plenty of room on the sides. I think I'd want the tube a little taller though.

The more I look at I have been kind of thinking the same thing. I will have to wait and see on the finished product though. Don't get me wrong Jimmy I am a big fan of your stuff but to me it looks like maybe it needs to go on a little bit of a diet...we will see.

I agree it does look a bit wide, although I like my women that way this might be too much for some of us, I want to see it on a runner with flares though and I'll probably place an order on the spot!

Yea ill want to see it on a wide fendered (Limited flaired) 4runner.

Keep the critiques coming. We are in the process of making some changes. We may slim it down overall and do some things for the skinny flares/no flares.
We are also looking for a LE to bring into the shop so we can have a look on how it looks with the full flares. Either that or buy some flares. If anyone is letting go of some flares let us know!

First off, I want to say the bumper looks awesome. I really like the idea of the swing-out being an option at a later date and I LOVE the extra tubing on the sides. I ordered the "Limited" version of your front bumper for that very reason, and plan on adding a similar style of hoop up front for the same purpose of extra protection.
I do have one suggestion though, maybe I'm missing something but bear with me - In the above photo it shows the end cap of the rear bumper directly in line with where the wheel arch and flares come down to meet the bumper. This looks great and all, but anyone with larger tires knows on our rigs, that is one of the first points of tire rub in the rear under full compression. Would it be beneficial to cut the rear bumper back a little further to give extra clearance for bigger tires?

This is something we will be cutting back. We are aware that it is about a half inch or more too far forward.

Aside from the overall trimming down (and I do think it'll be important to see this on a wide-flare model), and maybe this is too big of a change, but what about adding some angle to the lower half of the bumper's sides?
In other words, the sides are just flat in the vertical plane; what about adding a chamfer that keeps the styling more in line with the front (see pic)?
EDIT: Looking at the pics again, I can see that this feature is sort-of there, but I guess I would like to see a more dramatic affect... MORE CHAMFER!
