I went with a budget daystar 2.5" spacer lift at first but it made the tiny (and poorly offset) tires look even smaller. So I ordered 17x7 +0 offset rims from FN and went with 285/70/17 goodyear Duratracs (much quieter than the KM2s I used with the gx470). Next on the agenda is to remove running boards, add sliders (either custom or from a 4runner) and either replace rear shocks or switch to coilovers. This thread is a great resource!

Front: Icon extended travel coilovers and LR UCA
Rear: Metal Tech long travel kit, 3" bump stops and heavy duty sway bar end links
Tires: Duratracs 295/65/18
Wheels: 18" Ultra Gauntlets offset -12

Just got my Mombasa awning
Just mounted the Mombasa awning (6.5 feet) to the Baja Rack (flat expedition rack). The awning comes with its own hardware but I ended up replacing with something a little more secure. You will also need to purchase some washers. The holes that are predrilled in the mounts (provided by BajaRack) are a little large, so you'll need some washers. I mounted it to the passenger side just to balance the vehicle out. As far as wind noise....well there's none, so it's perfect. Packed and heading to Texas.

Looks really good. I'm considering a similar setup with the Baja Utility Rack, awning, and ladder. Is there clearance issues using that ladder though? I thought I saw something about the rack being a 1/4" too long but wanted to verify.

Here's my freshly lifted 2012 4Runner. I just got done installing my 315/70/17 Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs on Method Standard wheels. I live in Germany, but ToyTec lifts and All Pro helped me out so much with the lift. Finalizing my alignment tomorrow, I'm hoping we can get the caster exactly where I want it to limit bumpsteer and allow the truck to track straight on these crowned out secondary roads here in Germany. Tell me what you think

Mombasa Awning
As far as using the ladder with the rack (as long as they're the same manufacturer) you shouldn't have any clearance issues. I have a Baja rack with a Gobi ladder, so I have issues (bought the ladder first...the rack was on sale for an unbeatable price. I'm having that issue sorted out though).
If you use the baja rack, the mounts, depending on the rack, are around $80. They allow for different size mounts and the ability to position the rack closer / further to the vehicle.
The mombasa awning is built fairly well. I can already see some spots that will need to be reinforced but overall it's a good piece of kit. After speaking with the guys at Baja Rack, they informed me that all the awnings are built in the same facility (ARB, mombasa....etc.) so you're basically getting the same product.
By the way, the ladder (other than the lift) was, by far, the best addition. I use it so much it's ridiculous.
