2014 SR5 BOSS lifted on 33's

Anyone else have an issue with leveling the front pass side with drivers side with this BOSS kit? The coilovers initially put it up about 4 inches (after settling). The rear coils raised the truck up 3" in the rear (was supposed to be 2"?)

Those coils are known to give about 2.5" after settling. That's about what mine are.

Throw about 500lbs in the back for a week and they'll get broken in.

That pic has the BOSS kit installed. I've put 500 miles on it since the kit and she's still the same in the rears. The drivers side coilover in the front was easy to adjust. The passenger side... well. I've lowered it by a few whole turns over the course of a few days making sure to settle the suspension between adjustments. Hasn't lowered the height a bit! According to toytec a quarter turn = .5". This is probably a topic for another thread. I'm happy that I can drive over stuff and not drag the skids.

This might be a stupid question, there are two collars on the bottom, are you turning the upper collar? And counter-clockwise to go up, clockwise to go down. That's what Toytec told me over the phone when I called them. Hope that helped.

Just give it some time. It should relax at some point. I honestly don't believe a quarter of a turn on a collar is going to give you a half inch of drop/lift. You'll need to turn it a few times around. But if Toytec says so...

No offense but, are you sure you read the instructions right? Usually a 1/4" change in coil height = ~1/2" lift. Not sure how far your coil over threads are spaced but I would imagine a 1/4 turn would change your ride height by a tiny amount. I've never touched a pair of Toytec coil overs before, so I can very well be wrong. Maybe you should call Toytec and just confirm instead of moving perch down at a snail's pace

Today, I think I am done with the major mods for my 2013 4Runner. At less than a year old, the "Great White", as she is referred to, has provided me with over 27,000 miles of pure driving pleasure. She's running with BB 6 piece under armor, BB rock sliders, Rigid 20 inch driving light bar and fogs with Rigid back-up lights (thanks to Ducmonsta and Antman for wiring tips and clever install techniques). I also have the rear diff breather mod, provided by Outback Proven, and OME suspension lift installed by Cruiser Outfitters.

Rather than repeat the HOW-TO'S with instructions and photos I completed the projects one by one so that now I can talk about what I learned in the process.

The gentlemen here have proven once again that by giving freely of themselves, many can reap the rewards of this fantastic forum. I only hope I can return the favor.

I had intended to go 2.5" lift up front but right now it is at about 2.75" and I am thinking to let it settle a little before I mess with it anymore cause I could be at it all week if I keep tweaking things LOL trying to make it perfect HA!
