Scion T1808 radio install on a '07

There is a guy here who got the AUX plug to work you have to short out a couple of pins on the radio then it takes the toyota plug dont know for sure as I dont have the AUX plug and havent had the need for one either.

Does anybody know where I can get an ipod/iphone cable with the new smaller apple connection? I've got an iphone 5, and a Scion Pioneeer 1809.

Your gonna need multiple plugs to get the iPhone 5 working with it first the scoshe plug the allows USB charging then get the 30pin to lightning adapter that should solve your issue

Thanks for the info, but I'm kind of a noob to this. What is the scoshe plug? The 30 pin adapter?

I honestly am not even sure how these cables work. I've been reading through the threads trying to figure it out, and I'm assuming the ipod cables everybody is referring to just connect into the back of the radio, and they are running them under their trim somewhere to get access to the ipod plug.

So back to the iphone 5. If anybody has links to these things he mentioned, it's greatly appreciated.

The scosche iPod adapter is used to get newer iPods and iPhones to charge with older in car cables that didnt charge how the newer ones do.. The 30pin to lightning adapter is what apple made to get older iPod cables working with the new lightning interface. You can find everything on eBay
