Searched but still some ?s about grille swap

Hey guys, I searched and looked at the Mod sticky but Im still confused about diving into the grille removal. I ordered a TE grille from toyotapartscheap.com and its on its way here. From the looks of the diagram on their site it looks to be the entire assembly to include toyota logo. My question is if the center piece (black wings with Toyota logo) is removed and if its easier or possible to just swap that piece since the rest is the same? Any help is appreciated while I await parts!

If you're just wanting to replace the sr5 wings with the trail wings then, yes it will be a lot easier to replace that piece then the entire grill assembly. I believe its just two screws and a few clips to do so if memory serves me right.

Another question is how to get those pop rivets from the plastic shroud back on there. You push the center down of the rivets and they come out. How do you get them to lock back in when you put them back?

Pull the whole unit out after you unlock them as you described above. Place the bottom part (Female receiver) back in the hole, then place the center, (Male part), back in the hole of the female reciver, press down, but only until the "top" of the male piece is even with the bottom ring. If you push in any further, you are starting all over again......
