The vendor has proposed 3 different pack sizes for now :

Regular : Each Pack has 10 sheets for a total of 40 Sq feet @ $125 shipped

Xl : Each Pack has 13 sheets for a total of 52Sq feet @ $168 shipped

Any way we can get an estimate on which package for which size trucks? Mainly if the 10 sheet pack is big enough for a 3rd gen.

Although I don't have a direct answer for you, I found that on the tacoma site the users used a minimum of 2 40sq ft packs to cover their tacoma. Judging by that, us 3rd gen owners may need 2 XL packs (probably more) to completely cover the interior. It depends on how much you want to cover.

I can chime in here. The bigger pack is not cheaper, your correct. The reason is this. These packs come standard in a 10 sheet pack. For the XL pack and the 1/2 pack i have to pay the warehouse to re-pack the XL packs which costs more money. That is offset by a SLIGHT increase in price per sheet Shipped.
The next reason its not cheaper is because of the massive discount as it is and that is based on a Group volume discount not a per pack or per single order size of x amount of units..

The Regular pack sheets are $12.50 per sheet shipped, the Xl is $12.88 per sheet shipped if you work it out...... so to pay an extra 38cents per sheet is by no means an issue for those that don't want to have extra sheets laying around and buying 3 packs.

The reason we decided to give the XL pack a trial run is because i was trying to help people out that wanted an odd number of sheets. i.e 13,23,26 instead of having to be short or have to much. The idea was mostly around people wanting 26 sheets for their double cabs. They can buy 2 XL boxes instead of buying 3 regular and having 1/2 box sitting around collecting dust.

To do close to complete coverage on a 4 runner will most likely use a bit more than the 05-16 Tacoma Double cabs. I have not personally done a 4 runner yet but i can roughly guesstimate that if a DC tacoma uses 26 sheets for almost full coverage a 4 runner would use about the same amount up to the rear seats/cargo area.

So the cargo area, the rear door and the rear cargo roof area is what needs to be added in rough SQ footage. I think 4 regular packs would complete the job to a very high % coverage. If some one could give me the square footage of these panels i we can calculate to a more accurate number how much more to add over a DC tacoma

I can vouch for this stuff, it made a huge difference in my 3rd gen. Reduced road noise, vibrations and the sound of the mud tires on pavement. Application couldn't be easier, cuts with scissors and its peel and stick. Super pliable not like some other sound deadeners and at a good price

I can vouch for this stuff, it made a huge difference in my 3rd gen. Reduced road noise, vibrations and the sound of the mud tires on pavement. Application couldn't be easier, cuts with scissors and its peel and stick. Super pliable not like some other sound deadeners and at a good price

How much coverage did you do and how much did it take you?

I haven't finished the entire rig, but I ordered three regular size boxes which appears to be plenty for the floor, doors, quarter panels and hatch. It might be a stretch to cover the roof though.

So I'd say 3 regular size boxes if you want to cover from the window line down or 4 regular size boxes if you want to tackle the roof as well

I've had all my buddies do the "knock" test on the doors I finished vs the back door that I haven't covered and they are all amazed at how solid it sounds now

Im happy i was close to how many boxes a 4runner would eat up. Im thinking that the newer gens might take a lil more but id encourage people to put it mostly on the areas that will make the biggest impact first, or plan it out in that way first then continue to apply.

For what its worth, there is only about 10 packs left over in inventory in our pre-order pending all payments received
