Anyone running this unit also running a SwitchPros? Would like to know if the radio will run the app and connect to the SwitchPros seeing as not all android devices seem to be able to.
So it looks like the CTHome T9 head unit is out, waiting for reviews.

Well. Got the T9 installed and have had some similar issues to others. The unit boots up every single time instead of sleeping. It’s a ridiculous long time where it goes through Toyota and android screen. I’ll try unplugging the usb harnesses in back.
I’m unable to use the EQ.... which is weird because in all the reviews and posts I’ve read concerning this thing, I’ve never seen that being an issue. If I slide down from top and click EQ, the screen crashes.
The wireless CarPlay connection has been taking a while to connect.
Not too happy with this thing yet but going to try and experiment a bit more before ripping it out.

I wish someone would assemble these stateside and just utilize the bezel. I'd pay a premium to have something like this that just works as it should. I feel like this is is a gap in the market that someone could take advantage of. Or hell just purchase these, tweak them and sell them for more. I'd bite.

keep in mind people are reporting that the carplay adapter that plugs in will cause the head unit to always need to reboot when starting the car

Reboots are fine by me. The T9 boots much faster than the T8 and reboots clear out caches, etc. Several mentioned a skip over bluetooth so personally I'd rather be hardwired. I may run a splitter and an additional USB to the console so I can put my phone in the console instead so I can utilize both cup holders instead of sacrificing one for my phone.

Has anyone gotten the External TPMS with the T9?

I installed my T9 today in my limited and I so far mostly love it. (Note: I have an iPhone 8) So far:
- I have a tiny bit of feedback in the front speakers that can only be heard when no music is playing and the volume is up, but I think I've isolated that to the wired carplay dongle (I just need to relocate it somewhere else in the dash).
- The wireless car play did skip a lot for me when playing music, but once I plugged in the hardwired connector (and finally got it going! Pay attention to the directions ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE BOX!!!) I haven't had a skip at all.
- I've made two calls and one person could hear me flawlessly (also on an iPhone), and the other said they could hear me at all (on a Samsung). Note: I plugged in the external microphone as well. The phone controls on the steering wheel keep going back to the headunit's built in functionality, so I need to figure this out as well.
-The trim color isn't the exact silver as the Limited, but I don't think anyone will notice. The screen is very crisp and high resolution. Now I've been an Apple guy for decades, so it's going to take me a bit to learn the android, but I will keep reporting back.
-The sound overall seems better than the JBL stock unit.
Thanks to Blue TRD Jon for all of his YouTube videos and making my install much easier than a stab in the dark. One thing I did different is I did install the mounting brackets on the sides of the new head unit. (Only one screw would connect per side) but I noticed the head unit and my climate controls kept coming loose.. Now I have a limited so perhaps I have more wires hanging around back there that take up space.

thanks for your review ryan. i'm planning to get the T9 as well. when i do i plan to run the wireless carplay 99% of the time. can you explain more about the wireless carplay issues you had and how you resolved it in more detail.

Absolutely. For me, the wireless carplay skipped every few seconds and the screen would lag when scrolling from page to page. It could be my phone since it's an older iPhone 8. But as soon as I plugged in the dongle (which I wired to the built in USB below the climate control) all of my issues went away. I prefer wired over wireless whenever I can, and besides it charges my phone at the same time so it's just a win IMO. I would recommend hardwiring it.

There are two USB outputs with the T9. One has an adaptor that plugs into Toyota's harness that is hardwired to the USB port under the climate control. The other one I haven't connected yet, but I'm likely going to extend it into my console so I don't have to sacrifice a cup holder to hold a phone. Also the SIM card adaptor is also on a cord. I'm not using it now, but if I do I will likely just keep it behind the head unit since the 5th gen head units are so easy to remove IMO compared to previous versions. I still need to figure out what's causing the ever so slight static noise (when no music is playing).
