Let me open myself up to some constructive criticism and see if what i feel is valueable is all in my head. I suffer / benifit from BAD O C D i am a 41 year old auto tech 20 + yrs in the trenches. I am the guy that fixes the wireing , intermitent, noise, glitch issues, weird stuff. That is why i am allways very busy but broke. i cant stand people who deceve others for personal gain. So i work for myself.

first time book was too long

little about my 89 runner 10 years of ownership has left me ? myself. The front bumper is solid alum. only 40lbs give or take a pound but is super strong found it in a salvage yard 3 years ago but its made for gen 1 toyotas never seen or heard of one like it! the front axle mods were done with only toyota parts down to wires , vac lines, relays, out of a 95 runner. assm to look and work like it was factory. No more weak lockouts. lost mile or two per gallon but flawless operation. cooling fan is not toyota but is direct bolt on to old school 3 core rad. Yes i saved 3 of them. control unit is stand alone operation by engine temp and a/c. no switches. it took 3 tries but now is 1 year perfect. power for fan is carried thru toyota 40 amp fuses and relays so the aftermarket unit doesn't carry the load of the fan. For the exaust i uesd a BORLA system off a 3.4 for a model and built my own. 2.5'' from the mainifold to a late model Denso O2 sensor screw in not bolt down . then 3.5'' stainless off a 2010 cummings turbo out the back door. 2 of the thru mufflers were moved and rewelded over 100 miles to find tune. still too loud for my taste but changed power band of stock SOHC 3.0 in huge way. Between fan and exaust i average 18 mpg with lots of play time. with 5 spd 4:10 ratio and open diffs it will go anywhere i need and take me home. Havent walked in long time. Am I CRAZY ?

If i can hold on to my runner i have a fresh 3.4 out of a 01 taco. Harness ECU and all to install in the 89. 196 HP should be ok.

You are quite welcome. The 3.4 should be perfect. I own 2 22REs that, combined, probably have less HP than it. lol Got any pics? :typing:
