I keep going back and forth on if I want to bump up my front spring perch one notch (currently @ 0" perch with OME 883s). My front and rear measurements are approximately F 36.5" and R 38.75", and I feel like the rake is just a tad too steep. But if I bump it up one notch, I am afraid there's not going to be enough rake. Story of my life :tape:

My #s are with 265/70R17 tires, so yours are probably ~0.5" taller due to the bigger tires. Decisions decisions...

Crossed the south Saskatchewan river today near my in-laws farm. Felt good to use the truck as it was intended to be. Both going down and coming back up the banks were a lot of fun for an off-road newb like me.

Well, the picture pretty-much answers you question. It's a really fun place with lot of good terrain. It's not super challenging....just enough to be a LOT of fun! The only problem is that some trails are wide enough for SUV (but still a few branches here and there) and others are more suitable for ATVs. You can't really tell until your in there and it's too late. There seems to be an outer loop that's on the wider-side, but I'd really have to get out there a few more times and learn my way around. The short answer is Gruber isn't for the faint of heart, lol.

I'm currently trying to find a way to protect my paint, because I'm totally hooked on wheeling but don't want to completely destroy the paint either. I'll probably end up with a vinyl wrap or plasti dip.

Replaced LR UCAs with Total Chaos UCAs.

In the process, I accidentally loosened an A/C line junction, instead of the A/C line retainer bracket, right next to it. It sprayed at high pressure for maybe 3-4 seconds before I got it tightened back down. Does anyone know if I need to get the system recharged, or is it probably OK?

Does the compressor kick on? If the pressure is low it won't. If it does you are A-OK. If your worried they sell the freon with a gauge at autozone for not to much.

Guess what? I did the exact same thing when trying to move the A/C line to install my second battery. Got a nice blast right in the face- not fun.

I took mine to High Tech to get it repaired for roughly half what the dealer wanted to evac and charge the system.

According to Scott at High Tech, the O-Ring between the aluminum blocks should be replaced as well. He also told me that there is a low-pressure switch that will not let the compressor activate if it senses low/no pressure.

You WILL damage the compressor if it runs with no refrigerant because there is lubricating oil in there as well!

Don't feel bad, (although I felt like a complete idiot for doing it!) the nuts for the bracket, and the junction are right next to each other and easy to mix up if you're not paying attention...

. Go get the A/C serviced.

I'm kinda leaning towards just charging. Since it was still pressurized, I don't think it should have been contaminated.

I'm kinda leaning towards just charging. Since it was still pressurized, I don't think it should have been contaminated.

If you do just end up charging it yourself, make sure to get that fancy H/L pressure gauge manifold setup; and don't just "do it by feel" with those all-in-one low pressure gauge + freon on a bottle setup. I tried doing this a loooong time ago and it's real confusion to get it right since you need to monitor the high pressure and low pressure while you're charging. I think you can find the chart in the FSM. I decided that HVAC is way over my head, and will just seek professional help in the future, lol.

I'm no expert, but I think in your situation you should be okay to just charge it up a bit since you never fully removed the line and lost complete pressure. I think the only time you need them to vac the system out before charging is when you completely lose pressure and need to purge out all the air beforehand. Good luck dude!
