Installed my 285s today. No lift in the truck other than the stock amount of lift provided by the TRD Pro suspension. After a couple of hundred miles, the ride does not feel noticeably more harsh than the Terra Grapplers that came off of the truck and there doesn't seem to be an appreciable loss of power really. MPG hit is yet to be determined. I just put in a full tank and will run a couple tanks through it before making a "final" determination about how much of a hit there is. As for rubbing, the ONLY rubbing that I am getting is at full left or right lock while backing up, and it is absolutely minimal at that.

I think it looks pretty good!

Mountain Bike Trailer???

Went out for a long ride. Mountain biking in Ks you say? Over a 140 miles of good singletrack around here. Shocking really. Used 18 inch hitch extension with my Kuat 4 tray bike rack. Makes for a surprisingly long rig!

The rear was not swapped for a number of reasons. First being a lack of time since we hadn't planned on the fronts taking so long. But the second came up when we realized the Limited model loses the proximity sensors when swapped since mine didn't come with them and he still used the rear ones regularly. Front sensors weren't as big a deal for him though.

I drill a hole and reinstall the proximity sensors.
Btw, I got the Limited sides and rear bumper fs if you're interested.

The past 3 days I have been using my sons nap time to get this mounted and both switches wired up. Finally done and both main LEDs and backlights finally wired up. Then we went to Costco for snacks.

Did you go with 40" ??? And did you buy the actual harness or did you wire up yourself. I plan on wiring up myself and wire the back light to my headlights so they come on when my head lights are on. And the actual LED will be wired to a switch.

Got my OEM TE hood painted and installed then checked out a local Toyota truck meet. I was only 1 of 2 5th gens there. My Prinsu rack comes in next week!

Yup that's a 40" w/white backlight. I didn't buy that harness because I wanted to use an AOB switch and I already have a Bussman box for the relay. I also just tapped the parking light for the backlight and added a switch in case I get any crap for it by PD or just want to turn it off for any other reason. I have it running straight off the parking light with no relay and no issues yet, it should be a pretty low draw so I'm not worried about it.

Wiring was pretty easy, you just need some 14 or 16 gauge wire for the main hot and some 18 or 20 for the backlight. Luckily my Gobi is giving a good ground so that saved me having to run a ground. I ran both wires down the windshield gap like [MENTION=62757]chudiddy[/MENTION] did which saved me whole lot of wire running.

Windshield gap, huh ... I was thinking of running it from the weather stripping on the driver side door to the fender. I'll have to look at that windshield gap

...sold all our furniture and gave away a ton of other stuff, thinned our possessions down to like 5% of what we had...

...packed (squeezed) what was left into and on my 4R and her Prius...

...and we are moving to California. We'll start fresh out there; we rented a little place in Ferndale (norCal, Humboldt County) and will be working in Eureka.

We'll be rolling I-80 pretty much the whole way, stopping off in Chicago for a night to visit her mom, and we should be out to Cali by Friday.
