Thanks and appreciate the heads up on road conditions! I was already looking at taking a trip up Sea-to-Sky in late May, might have to come back via Hwy 12/Hwy 1.

Consider this as well. It will likely be free of snow by late May. With a stop at Sloquet Hot Springs.

Same Kit. PTR13-35140. I just followed the instructions with the no spring compressor install.

I used KYB SM5640 - Mount Kit for the front. For the rear shocks I used the cushion and washer from the original shock.

It gave me about 1" lift at front. I still need to get an alignment, but It rides really nice. Firm but not harsh. No more nose dive and lean on turn. I do have E-rated tires set on 40psi.

Why did I have to see this!?!?!? Looking up that kit, I see that it is on sale for a heck of a deal. I really don't need to spend the money (kid due in less than a month), but have 60k+ on the 4Runner. I'm tempted to get these and just sit on them until I get closer to 100k.

Your saying that you got about 1" in the front, which means it should be relatively level on toyota quality parts. Has it settled any since you installed?

Cold beverage setup complete. Yeti Goal Zero 400 Lithium plugged into factory AC inverter. ARB fridge into Yeti AC. I know that it isn’t the most efficient this way because of the ac/dc conversion but it works best for the Yeti. Trust me I know all of the options, upgrades, dual batteries etc. but after much research (reading about every thread on this forum, Expedition Portal and OB) I found the flexibility of this setup would work best for our needs. Just need to add a 100 watt solar panel and I’m good to go off the grid for a while. After testing, the fridge ran for 21 hours in Florida heat (while empty and set at 34 degrees F). It pulls 70w with compressor running and 10-15 with it off. 5 amp draw with compressor running, .8 when not running. Well within spec of the Yeti. The key is to set the battery protection on the ARB to low (10.3 v) as you don’t have to worry about draining it and not being able to start a vehicle.

Been having some rattling issues with my recently installed Magnaflow exhaust. Found what I think was the problem (a bolt holding part of the heat shield up). Got that grinder off, I think the noise issues should be fixed. Haven’t taken it out to test yet but I think it’ll be good

The Yeti 400 Lithium I got retails for $600, but I used my REI member 20% discount and got it for $380...just a little more than a high quality group 31. Don’t have the solar for it yet, but you don’t have to go Goal zero solar, you could get a Renogy solar panel for 1/2 the price and just buy the adapters.

Debating on just selling my Gobi rack when it arrives in June/July and instead use the money towards a full suspension mountain bike. Feel like that might be a better value for the money.
