The USPS finally delivered my Anytime backup camera yesterday and UPS is supposed to be dropping off my Marathon seat covers today. But I think I'm going to have to wait until the weather calms before I do anything, we've got a Cat 3 hurricane threatening our backdoor...after it passes, I'll have to go back out to my platform to assess damage and get production going again...so maybe in about 10days I can actually do something with it.

I installed the second Treaty Oak recovery point. It went on fine, even on my 2020. I thought I saw something about how someone was having problems getting it on their 2020, but I had no problems at all.

I do recommend one thing, though. There are these weird nuts that are on a stick. Looks like bare copper wire. A stick is welded onto the nut, and you have to guide the nut in through a hole in the frame so the nut lines up with another hole that the bolt screws into. The official method for dealing with these sticks is to tension snap them off and leave part of the stick in the frame. What I decided to do was roll up the stick and stuff it inside the frame so it would be easy to grab if I ever had to take the recovery points off to do some work or something. This worked fine on my first one, but for the second one, the stick snapped the whole weld off as I was rolling it up with my vise grip. This happened after I got the recovery point installed, so everything is fine right now, but it's going to be a pain to rework things if I ever have to remove the recovery point. If you have the means to do so, you may wish to weld it a bit more yourself just to be on the safe side. Be careful not to mess up the threads in the nut, but securing it a bit more might be worthwhile.

I also went out for a drive after doing my projects this past half week. TRD exhaust, heritage grill, and the recovery points. I don't know if it was the TRD exhaust or the little bit of extra air with the heritage grill (probably the exhaust), but my truck feels pleasantly looser when I'm giving it the gas now. It's still not a 0-60 machine, but it feels smoother. Not a whole lot smoother, but it's definitely noticeable and meets minimum smoothness for me. I'll have to see if this continues. I'm very impressed so far.

Well, the Marathon covers came in and the weather held off long enough for me to figure out where I'm going to install my front camera and get the seat covers installed. Still need to stretch and tweak a little to get the rest of the wrinkles out, but I like how they fit and they've already showed they're waterproof (my sweat was beaded up on them a few times...cause it's hot, Louisiana hot...and humid).

I'm on my 4th consecutive hour of trying to install the last stick nut of the Shrockworks rock sliders.

I cannot get this stupid FN nut in place. I'm so incredibly frustrated.

I found that you really need to take the bolts over to your local hardware store and get the next longer size. Makes it way easier.

Also finished cleaning up the wiring for the rear KCHilites
(2" C-SERIES C2 LED - 2-LIGHT SYSTEM - BACKUP - 20W FLOOD BEAM)
and added Lamin-X yellow to the rear and front light bar to match. does warm up the light slightly without cutting the output)

May move the switch positions in the future but for now - one for the rear lights - one for front light bar, simple and I actually like these rocker ("cockpit") switches.

Cleaned the throttle body and MAF sensor. throttle body was totally loaded with crap on the backside and took some serious scrubbing. It had developed a ~1/16" ridge of gunk where the plate meets the inside all the way around. Not bad for 200,000 miles though. Will see if I notice any difference in MPG, idles as smooth as can be.

Mount it further forward. I placed the front screw right where the side panel ends. I like that position a lot more. More usable space of the molle panel and the seat doesn’t squeeze it anymore.

I really like these. I just wish there was a way to mount them without having to put a hole in the console side. I know it's minimal but it's one of those if I ever remove it the hole is there. But I've always like the way them look and this looks great.

I felt the same way, but eventually gave in. Only doing the pass side (may repurpose the other piece in a different spot/application) to keep it simple and cleaner.

Could always pop in small push-in black retainer clips to cover the holes if needed?

I recommend RSG Metalworks sliders. They were a stock item, minimal wait time, shipped UPS (1 box for each), fit perfectly, and bolted on quick using existing threaded frame holes.
