Wheels just arrive..Help me decide on tire sizes

Some my 18x9 -12 XD just arrived and I thought I had my mind made up but now I keep going back and forth between 275/70/18 or 295/65/18 Duratracs. Overall diameter are roughly the same 33.4 vs 33.1. I don't get into anything too radical but on occasions will go off the beaten path. During the winter I do lots of snowboarding so I'll be up in Tahoe a lot. For suspension I'll be going with ICON Stage 2 with LR UCAs. I understand both setups will require inner liner trimming and possibly even a BMC. Please help me decide. Only $200 separates the two packages. Is the extra 20mm in width worth the extra cost in performance and looks? Thanks everyone. My trucks been stock for way too long. Time to get rid of the grapes and give it some BALLS!!!!!!

Would like more sidewall and the Duratracs don't even come in that size. Only other smaller offering in 18 would be 275/65/18

Well,in the Duratracs according to Tirerack, the 295/65/18 size suggest a rim width of 8-10" and is 33.1" dia.
The 275/70/18 suggest a rim of 7.5-9" and is 33.2" in diameter. Considering your running a 9" wide rim which is right in the middle of the 295 range I would say it would be my choice. However the 295's are 5lbs a piece heavier and either should work.

After you install the lift with aftermarket UCA's .At the alignment,if you have them set your caster to +4.0 with the camber and toe in spec then you would probably get away with just pulling the front fender lining forward per the liner mod and you should not need to chop the body mount with a 33.1" tire. I say probably as I havn't seen this exact combo run however.

Harper thanks for the info. Makes me feel at ease. I contacted Jason at Demello for a quote on a BMC just in case. I'll also make arrangements with them to install the ICONs once I get them. I went with the XD Addicts. 295 sound like a winner after reading S&S build and Ride's build. The wheel/tire size combo looks awesome.
