I lived in Maine for 7 years. Shoveling snow blows. Now I live in Washington where I rarely get snow in the valley. But 2.5' of snow is only a 30 minutes drive.

Can't really compete with the scenery posted in this thread, but a white Christmas in Dallas is pretty much unheard of. I'm just excited to be able to contribute to this thread. We got about 2" where I live. It was 70 degrees 48 hours ago!

I'm in DFW too, and if it never snows here again, then that would be too soon (I moved south to get away from horrible weather, as I prefer temps in the 90s and 100s)

East Texas getting some snow action. Decided I "had," to go to Walmart and pick up some necessities. First time ever getting some snow action with the 4Runner.

Hmmmm... Lets see, CA VS CO:

Southern CA:
Traffic, people who can't drive, growing population, cops that pull you over for anything, fake/conceited girls, superficial everyone, no real weather, no local wheeling grounds, strict smog, little kids and soccer moms, starbucks at every corner, nothing to do (gun laws, smog laws, ridiculous laws, we have them all)

OR....

Gorgeous mountain views, Fresh air, actual weather including snow, clear skies, wheeling + 4Runners abound, better percentage of people who aren't stupid/fake/conceit/superficial, less traffic, 2 lane mountain roads (as opposed to 8 lanes + 8,000 cops scattered between 4 million cars, all looking for modified cars to pull over), Plus I'd get to hang with steeze, sn0wrunner, dirtco, gerdo, glen yoshida, SV dude, etc, AND I'd get to post pics in this thread.

Yeeeah, I'll take a change. Shoveling snow is a small price to pay.


EDIT: Forgot, SoCal is also due for a devastating earthquake, plus it's scary living near a sketchy nuclear power plant that has been having problems, especially when both of these potential disasters will leave roads completely screwed and most likely thousands killed. Don't particularly like that dirty ass Los Angeles is within a nuclear strike away from Orange County. CO = No potential earthquake or Nuclear death, and what crazy muslim (I'm Palestinian before someone throws a racism fit) would waste their time bombing a mountain area?

The snow was very very heavy and made it difficult to break new trail in. (I also attempted to break trail thru a 4' snow bank that the snow plow left there.)

Had to head up into the mountains for some work today, I'll be here for about a week. Only about 2-4 inches, but this was my first time driving in snow. Gotta say, the 4runner took it like nothing.

Yeah, and in Utah/Colorado all you have to worry about is when Yellowstone will finally pop . Oh, and also Starbucks on every corner.

I'd rather live here than SoCal too, for sure. But I'm definitely over the snow, it can stay in mountains where it belongs and leave me alone.

I'm almost ashamed to post these, she's so dirty. This was before we cleaned them off, I have some driving around ones later.

We ended up with about 8-9 inches at the house...

BTW, I really hate snow and cold weather...

I can't wait to move to Arizona from Wisconsin in a few years...I'm so sick of our 5-6 month cold season.

If I could have 8 months of snowy winter weather, I'd sign right up! There's nothing like a good snow storm and, in my opinion, it's much easier to bundle up and get warm than it is to try and stay cool in hot weather. This past summer dang near killed me it was so hot (90's for most of it - puke on my face).

Plus, what's more fun than bashing through fresh snow banks?! :bluejump:
