I'm also in the process of finishing up this project.
I did also purchase the rear door flares. But haven't purchased the weather stripping or the "upper pad - black" as its called......snooperstyle said to use a razor to cut from the original flare what doesn't fit and should be ok
But I think the most important thing is the clips that attach the flare to the door
I think snooperstyle posted what he did but from the pics it's hard to tell how many orange clips or blue clips to order

Those are just the part numbers I got from the site. Didn't order them yet. Only purchased the flares so far.....they're at a body shop waiting to be painted.

This is the best pic I could get this morning before heading out to work. I'm really happy w/ the outcome. I couldn't get my factory front mud flaps to work so I had to order the correct ones. I think it'll look better with them and also improve the secureness of the front caps. I have the rear door flares sitting in my office. I spoke to the body shop and he says that it would be better to paint the flares while there mounted on the doors as opposed to painting them off the car and then mounting them. Hopefully I can get my wife to part with my 4Runner for a couple of days do the body shop guys can do their thing.

I don't know anything about painting but maybe someone can explain why you would paint on the truck???? They should just snap on once painted shouldn't they?

Reason is because of paint matching issues. My existing paint is already 4 years old and they may have to blend into the doors a little.

Well, went to pick up my SR5 rear bumper at the dealer and decide to order these side rockers. There's goes $400. =/

'13 TE isn't white and the '14 TE interior is miles better. Per consumer reports, the '10-13 headlights are better than average despite being old school reflectors.

Anyway, I bet these will fit. I don't think Toyota would have painted the Trail Edition flares rather than just reusing the Limited/SR5 flares when they went color matched across the board.

How is the 14 TE interior "miles better" than the 13 TE? I had always read that there were minor updates and tweaks here and there but nothing significant.

All black instead of black upper, grey lower IP.

Metallic black radio and console bezel versus the easily scratched silver painted bezel.

Contrast stitching on the optional leather seats versus cloth only.

Premium steering wheel is leather wrapped instead of urethane. More attractive controls.

Blue dash lighting instead of orange.

The glove box panel where it meets the IP upper feels nicer, too.

I acknowledge that we are heading into subjective territory here, but I don't see much of a change between the interiors of the 13 and 14 models. To each his own...

Even those color changes combine to really make a difference. I think I generally prefer the black overfenders on the previous trail, but once you get inside, the new one feels like a much more coherent package.

I get what you are saying. When you originally said the 14+ 4runner had a "nicer" interior, I thought you meant that the interior was somehow more comfortable or luxurious.

With the exception of optional leather seats, I don't see much of a difference in the comfort levels between the model years.

Got em painted for free from a autobody owner friend of mine
I have a new house as of April last year with a 2 car garage.....so I'll be putting everything together tommorow.....I mention the garage because it's the first time I've owned a home with one and the weather up here in NY has been horrible.......its 20 degrees out right now......and this project would not get completed until April if it wasn't for the garage.......
I'll post pics in the a.m. as I'm going along.....the only hitch I can see is the rubber "filler" inside the flare.....I'm following snooperstyle's post and pray I get it right (cross fingers)

Ongoing. In cold garage

Pulled up from bottom of flare
All but 1 blue clip broke. 1 orange clip was being difficult. But I managed to get it out

Cleaned around where flare met door.....

This orange one gave me a hard time
I used an "O" ring pick-type remover to push the side of the orange clip in to pull it out of the hole.......
Now gotta figure out how to trim and securely attach the rubber insert into the flare......next pic.....

Head scratching at flare rubber insert :

Thinking 3M double sided tape. And nut n screw deal at holes Or
Aluminum pop rivets

Ok.....rubber insert

Gonna use my thumb to rub off old double sided tape (extremely tedious)
Replace with new tape along same channel in insert. Then tommorow to Home Depot to get a pop rivet gun.....I think the original flare rivets are aluminum too put painted black.....looking plastic to me
