I just did this repair on a '99 model. I've also done it on a 2000. I write this post because the parts diagrams are badly done:
they display o-rings in the wrong places
they're scattered over three diagrams
they don't show the 6mm locating bolt
they claim one o-ring (96721-24018) isn't needed. It certainly was on the two repairs I performed.
Furthermore, the 2000 FSM that I have doesn't even show the oil cooler for the 3RZ-fe engine.
The repair can be done without removing the cooler hoses.
It's my understanding that only 4WD models (RZN185) have a cooler and that 2WD models (RZN180) do not. But I've not verified this. Both repairs I did were on 5-speed models.
I figured an annotated diagram would work as well as a wall of text.
