Awesome I cannot wait! I'm looking forward to getting some of the road comfort back from the grapplers as well as going up in size, the km's I have were good offroad but terrible on the street imo.

Yes, my buddy has those on his jeep and they were awful, so loud and just rode rough. The ridge grapplers are much quieter.

September 2nd 2017 -

Picked up a Brand new set of 5 tires and got them mounted on FJ 8 hole wheels!
285/75/17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers 33.8/11.3/17

Today was just test fitting day

still have more to do before I can mount them. The only rub the UCA's on full lock turns but i ordered wheel spacers to take care of that.
They come close enough to the body mount that I didn't want to think about it so i in the process of chopping that. I got one side done today. More wheel well trimming. Probably going to need a rear bumpstop extension but im not sure. As soon as I fix rubbing, Tires get mounted and I got for alignment!

I got a spare, I got a set of 5.. you just cant see in the picture because I couldnt fit in the truck..

Installed 4 new spider trax 1.25" wheel spacers
Test fit all 4 new wheels and tires..
Did even more body mount trimming, fender trimming, bumper trimming, and now that pinch weld is staring at me because it knows its about to get beat.
The rear fits perfect, no trimming required.
I am ready for the alignment now, and then ill be doing more trimming!

Just got back from a nice long road 1600 mile road trip! I took my truck and a friend took his lifted tahoe. drove to my buddies wedding in raleigh NC and then drove out to the outer banks! its amazing out there! spent a few days on the banks, then drove to VA beach for a few days and then home to ny!

Truck was loaded up and handled the ride great! Not a hiccup! averaged 17.4 MPG calculated for the whole trip! This included beach driving!

Nobody was around so we were able to mess with the trucks alittle bit out on the sand! so much fun.

finally 50 degrees and sunny out.

138,690 miles

Oil changed- Mobile 1 5w30 with OEM toyota filter
Tires rotated with spare rotated in
Driveline greased and inspected
Brake caliper pins, wire wheeled, cleaned and reinstalled

Bought my first house!

Truck fits in garage with less then a half inch door clearance!
I consider that a mod. Lol

And now I have to make more money so I can afford truck parts again


Some spring maintenance planned for this weekend.

Had a great time at FJ NORTHEASTERS 11th annual at Rausch creek. Truck performed flawlessly once again with everything ive thrown at it. Ran with some other great trucks as well.

Turned 140k on the way there and in a 220 mile run got 18mpg. doing the math. The dash meter is pretty close too.
