Bilstein 60mm BTS System

The rear springs on the TRD Pro are the same as the stock Trail. The rear shocks have a remote reservoir though. The fronts are digressive and softer.

So for my '03 V8, would it be best to leave rear springs stock or change to something like an FJ spring?

So would these 6112/bts be rebuild able or tunable? Also do either of these come with the upper shock tower mounts. If not where can I get some besides the dealer. Did they really disco the 5160 rears for the 5th Gen. Thanks for your input guys. Was going to get the fox 2.5 but found out that the bearings are not the way to go for my aplication. Any idea on a real release date yet. I want these things yesterday.

The Bilstein website says they are "Lifetime Warranty" item. They would handle that and also they will tune them to your specs is you desire to pay the price.

Also do either of these come with the upper shock tower mounts. If not where can I get some besides the dealer.

(1) No, they do not.
(2) Dealer or someones take off shocks that have replace with another complete setup.

No matter how many times you state this, I don't think this is going to happen unless you find someone that has them installed on the same application you have to determine you answer. I don't think Bilstein has this type of program available, but if they do let us know.....

Range of adjustment by spring perch clips are 0-2.5"
The easiest way to answer your own question is to go measure from center of the hub to the top of the wheel well of the front and rear......then compare your findings!
Only adjust up until you reach level.
Most people if I recall correctly acheive level @ the 1.75" setting.
According to Bilsteing these are the setting of the lift postion og the perch settings:
2.5"
1.75"
.85"
0"

I would at least switch to FJ rear springs. IMHO, the slight rate increase not only helps when loading the 4runner heavy, it also seems to ride better unloaded. The 4th gen OEM springs are too soft.

I've also been digging the 1.5" SAW springs on my 5th gen but they are taller and a little more stiff than the FJ springs. All of that is ok because my 5th gen weighs more.

The rear shocks would be designed to work with the factory units, although the valving would work great with an OME or ICON rear spring.
