Bumper, Get a new OEM or wait for money for Aftermarket

My OEM bumper has a giant dent in it. It's starting to get on my nerves, so
hence the question.

What do you guys think, should I wait or buy a OEM off ebay.

If you wheel, save the money for a rugged offroad bumper with better approach angle and something that can take a little abuse.

If you don't wheel and you like the stock look, go for it.

They are screwing you on shipping man. I got my bumper for 120 and free shipping but didnt get the valance, i paid like 40 for it and free shipping. I just got a new TJM bumper and may be interested in selling my bumper. I just put mine on like a month ago

2X on what Hepar said.....if you don't wheel....I wouldn't bother with a plate bumper.....

If you are 2WD then no point in a plate bumper (shockworks, ARB, TJM).

You might want to consider repairing it and installing a preRunner bar; not the same thing as a brush guard. You can get a preRunner lights bar for ~ $150 that will install into the factory bumper.

The link you listed is for the bumper and lower valence (which you already have). It's also for a limited, so it has the flare holes.

Here's one for $100 shipped without flare holes, but it's black. Not sure if you want to keep the chrome or not, but this is a way easier option over painting or Plasti-Dipping it later if you want to go that route.

Otherwise i would just stick with OEM in your situation. Certifit has good prices

Haha It's 4WD.

The last time it went wheeling was with a bunch of Porsche Cayennes. Pretty funny to watch the 4runner just kill on dirt.

I'll try to find a decent bumper used and if not then just wait a little bit longer for a new one.

If I remember correctly the dent is actually from when my Dad took it up Black Bear Pass and hit a tree. How that happened I dont know.
