Cars you owned that never Broke

Mercedes ML350. Bought it new in 2006, no issues other than general maintenance. Loved it so much I bought an 2008 ML500 last year so I could have its V8 twin brother.

Also my Audi A4 and S4 were both amazing to me. Ive heard some Audi horror stories but never lived them myself....

1998 Honda Accord EX 4 Door with a 5 speed transmission.

From new off the lot in May of 1998, I drove “Ol Mean Green” for 16 years and racked up 257,000 miles all on the original clutch before I sold it! No matter how hard I drove it, I was never left on the side of the road.
The entire time I owned the vehicle it only required one alternator and one ignition coil to be replaced. These two items surprised me when the problems popped up but I was able to do the repairs and easily with minimal tools.
Every oil change and brake job was done by me. I did have two timing belts installed by a private Honda Certified Mechanic. If I had to make a conservative guess, I would say I spent less than $2000 over the life of the car in mechanical parts. Looking back this car was very economical and fun to drive. Best car I ever owned!

1997 and 2004 Honda Accord both traded in after 100,000 Miles with no issue during time of ownership.

my 2003 F150, bought in 2004 with 25K miles on it.

currently it has 132,000 miles on it, the only problem was a burnt out coil last yr, had me limping home on just 5 of its V-6 cylinders. other than that...this thing has been a joy to own.

i drove it from Wash DC to New Orleans for my grandfathers funeral

I have driven it from DC to Conn. multiple times to pick up my grandmother for holidays

Taken it down to NC and NC-Va boarder with a motorcycle in the back, for my racing hobby. And it still is my hauler when i go to the racetrack 8-15 times a summer.

i still drive it today as a daily driver when i feel the need to share the T4R with my wife.

Except for the occasional rattle over some bumpy pavement, this thing still runs like a top, especially after the major tune up i had done to it last fall.

i only hope the 4runner lasts as long as this Ford has...
or as my uncle used to try and lable it

1992/2001 Jeep Cherokee In-line 6 and 2006 Ram

Ok so I know im going to catch crap for the Jeep but here we go.

I had a 1992 2WD forest green Jeep Cherokee I got to take to college, probably got it with about 192k on it and stopped driving it at about 252k since i got the 2001 silver Jeep Cherokee.

Issues only 1 the radiator went out but that was pretty much it that In-line 6 is a solid engine.

After owning the '92 Cherokee for about 4 yrs i wanted an upgrade so i got a '01 Silver Jeep Cherokee Limited 2wd. Never had any problems with it until i hit a deer going 65 mph which ended up cost the insurance an engine swap. Kept it for another year then traded it in for a full size truck.

I had my 2006 i bought a brand new 2006 dodge ram quad-cab 2wd with about 8 miles on it and had it until 2013 when i traded it in for the 4Runner. There were only 3 reasons i didnt keep it.

1. Gas was killing me
2.Wasnt 4wd (got it when i was living in Texas so u dont need 4WD there really)
3. Had a baby and need a covered cargo area to carry the stroller.

Problems:

Had to replace the water pump once.

I must have bought your old one right before everything was about to implode My '07 S4 was a total and complete nightmare, every day I wake up and my bank account thanks me for having sold it. On the bright side, I now justify upgrades to my 4Runner with.. "Well, if I still had the S4 I would have probably been spending $8k this week on a new timing chain...or blown PS hose...or iginition coil...or water pump....or ..or..."

Well, I've had my '99 since 2002. Its only got 121K Miles on it now, but its never failed me.

Don't ask me about the '90 Thunderbird SC I owned. I didn't worry about the mileage when I drove it, only if I'd make it to where I was going.

That is funny. I never thought I would find anyone on this site that even knows what a Thunderbird super coupe is. I bought a new one in 1990 with the manual transmission. I put on a nice dual exhaust and some various super charger parts. Turned out to be one of the best cars I owned. Only problem was a bad cid sensor, water pump and several warped front brake rotors. I had it 11 years and the only reason I sold it was that I was moving to Arizona.

1998 Toyota Land Cruiser - sold it was 198,000 miles and never had an issue with it. I miss it a lot :rain:

I had a 84 Honda Accord with 384,000+ miles on it when I got rid of it. There was nothing wrong with it I just wanted something new.

My first car in '86, which was an '82 Celica GTS (5 speed of course!)

Drove the wheels off of that car from Sophomore in HS to same year in college. Nothing needed outside of routine maintenance. Ran great when traded with 140k on the clock. 22RE's rock! Made me a BIG fan of Toyota.

04 Honda Civic Si EP3. Awesome little car that I wish I had never sold. So mint. Owned it for seven years right before I bought my 4Runner.

2005 Subaru WRX STi. This white one was my 3rd one. Every one was used and abused on the dirt on the street and at the track and never broke, anything!!! Fast little suckers and super fun to beat on, especially when it was beating on a V8:hatsoff: I put over 100k between the 3 with ZERO issues.

96 Tacoma 4wd. got it with 60k miles, sold for $2,500 with 290,000 miles and trashed rear end. they had to load it on a flatbed. Whole rear axle assembly needed to be replaced. Clutch had to be replaced about 230k miles but besides alternator and starter, I never had any problems out of it at all.

1999 Honda Accord lx, 560k miles and everything was original even the timing belt. Drove it across the state 3x with no isues ever. Trade it in for a new car
1998 Honda Civic EX, 285k miles trusted this vehicle to go anywhere with all original parts. Until recently a deer decided to jump into my car and total it.

2005 Honda Accord EX, 178,000 miles and counting. No major problems and just normal maintenance; battery, alternator, belt, ac condenser, spark plugs.........that's about it. Might be selling it soon but hard to when we will not get what we think it's worth.

415,000 miles. Kept 19 yrs.

One breakdown - igniter went out.

Most reliable and easy-to-maintain vehicle I've ever owned.

2000 Accord V6 Coupe.

My finacee is driving it. My sis bought it with some miles on it, then sold it to me with 70,000 miles in immaculate condition.

I've only had to do maintenance on it, and a paint job (dark colored Honda paint back then was awful, and the Tucson desert killed it in 4 months).

That thing is strong, and fun as hell to drive in the mountains!

I had an 88 Mazda 626 that was indestructible, with a standard transmission.
