Supercharger FTW! Nice moves, I love your truck!
As per the rear shocks, City_Rider was running the 5150's before his Runner got stolen (sorry again man!) He told me that with his CBI rear bumper (he had a swing out mind you...) that the 5150's were pretty bouncy. Maybe not valved enough for the weight. Just an FYI.
Thanks man, both for the compliments and the heads up.
You could go with a 95 LC Toyota rear shock like I did. Another option is the rear 5100's for a Tundra.
Jason (j-money$$$) was nice enough to ship me two of his old OME shocks. I installed them this morning. Thank you for the suggestions.
Sounds like you like your SC like I like mine. Loose gravle/dirt is a blast!
I'm gonna get you back for that day
So I just spent the past 3 hours reading through this build and your truck is awesome! BTW, if you ever wanna swap those tundra rims for sport rims let me know!
3 hours? it's that long now? haha thanks man! I'll keep you in mind if I want them, though I do have a 4th gen sport at my disposal 0.o
Sooooooo last night, just doin some night wheelin. Been going for the last 3 days just out of boredom. Posted these pics already in another thread, but i'll put them here too.
Casualties: 1 Old Man Emu shock, 1 panhard bolt, 1 headlight.
On the trail, the shock was just removed and tossed in the back. The panhard bolt needed some crafty engineering that actually lasted us until the Lowe's parking lot, where I got a grade 8 replacement. The headlight was just a broken screw.
Fixed them all this morning before JadatheRottweiler came over.
Broken shock:
new (to me) shocks:
"Crafty" replacement:
New bolt:
Broken headlight. Fixed stripped screw with loctite.
Also other misc, fixed an issue with power steering line rubbing against supercharger nose cone.
Awesome day today, JadatheRottweiler came over and we installed a Toytec ultimate lift kit, diff drop, new konig wheels and bridgestone tires, and 4 spidertrax spacers. Will post pics when he makes his build thread.
Keep on truckin!
Success!
