COB's 4Runner Timeline (Pic Heavy)

Great work! I heard of the 2.7 supercharger but I think your the first one on the forum to install one. I hope one day I can supercharge my 5VZ, but thats far away. :ybrick: Your exhaust set up sounds fantastic, do you still have the magnaflow muffler?

Keep up the updates, it seems they get better and better over time. :hatsoff:

That's CRAZY!! I love the video. I never would've thought to have a S/C installed on the 3vz. Sounds awesome man!! Congrats!! :bigok::driving::nicethread:

Sounds F'n awesome. BTW, I recognize where you were at. That last onramp is < 1 mi from John Wayne.
Haha, that's cool that you knew. I work just around the corner and I was bored on my lunch break.

Great Job, I don't know if i never noticed before, but my god does the exhaust sound stellar
Thanks dude, glad you like it.

That's ****ing badass!!!!!!

Sweet man enjoy it!!
hahah thanks

Thanks man! Hopefully a SC will come soon, but we'll see. I'm switching back to alloy wheels (from my steel Cragars) when I go to 35s so hopefully it won't be too much of a power loss when I step up. If it is, I think the SC will be coming sooner rather than later. Good work with the truck!
That's going to be nuts, I can't wait to see that. 35" tires on a 4Runner is pure pornography.

I'm not sure I have ever seen one before, either. It's cool to feel unique. It's the same actual blower as the V6 supercharger (Eaton M62).

I'm surprised you guys like the exhaust, I am always on the fence about it. It's the same Magnablow piece of junk. Rattles like a mofo.

Thanks for the compliments, dude. Hope to see you supercharge yours, it's totally worth it in smiles alone.

Thanks dude. I'll make a better one when it's running an amount of PSI that's actually worth recording. It's a 3RZ 2.7l 4 cylinder, not sure if you may be confused with the 3VZ 3.0 V6.

GREAT BUILD!! :wow:

Thanks :thumb3:

congrats james, cant wait to see it in person.

It won't be long, man, hah. Thanks

My rear OME shocks were used from driffter33. One of them had a messed up top mount and lasted a pretty long time before finally snapping last night on the trail.

What to buy next, Bilstein 5150's? Your opinion is appreciated, thank you!

Supercharger FTW! Nice moves, I love your truck!

As per the rear shocks, City_Rider was running the 5150's before his Runner got stolen (sorry again man!) He told me that with his CBI rear bumper (he had a swing out mind you...) that the 5150's were pretty bouncy. Maybe not valved enough for the weight. Just an FYI.

So I just spent the past 3 hours reading through this build and your truck is awesome! BTW, if you ever wanna swap those tundra rims for sport rims let me know!

Thanks man, both for the compliments and the heads up.

You could go with a 95 LC Toyota rear shock like I did. Another option is the rear 5100's for a Tundra.
Jason (j-money$$$) was nice enough to ship me two of his old OME shocks. I installed them this morning. Thank you for the suggestions.

Sounds like you like your SC like I like mine. Loose gravle/dirt is a blast!
I'm gonna get you back for that day :P

3 hours? it's that long now? haha thanks man! I'll keep you in mind if I want them, though I do have a 4th gen sport at my disposal 0.o

Casualties: 1 Old Man Emu shock, 1 panhard bolt, 1 headlight.

On the trail, the shock was just removed and tossed in the back. The panhard bolt needed some crafty engineering that actually lasted us until the Lowe's parking lot, where I got a grade 8 replacement. The headlight was just a broken screw.

Fixed them all this morning before JadatheRottweiler came over.

Broken shock:

new (to me) shocks:

New bolt:

Broken headlight. Fixed stripped screw with loctite.

Also other misc, fixed an issue with power steering line rubbing against supercharger nose cone.

Awesome day today, JadatheRottweiler came over and we installed a Toytec ultimate lift kit, diff drop, new konig wheels and bridgestone tires, and 4 spidertrax spacers. Will post pics when he makes his build thread.

Keep on truckin!

Success!
