brucemoose2 how are your amazon clamps working? I just ordered the Precision Brand 25-40mm from amazon as well. Both inner boots on the small side started slinging grease within 5 miles of installing my lift.
Great! No leaks.
How tight did you torque yours ? I see the Mcmann ones had an in lbs torque rating
The west marine clamps are discontinued, but may be special ordered. I just did this. Unfortunately, the clamps they supplied are not correct. They're now substituting a clamp that is both too wide and also not smooth on the inside.
You need a smooth clamp that's 9mm wide. The 25-40mm size is about perfect. I found a new supplier on Amazon. I ordered them and with my prime shipping, they were very reasonable. $7.10 for a pack of ten. I installed this morning and they're great.
Search for this on Amazon: Precision Brand Smooth Band Metric Worm Gear Hose Clamp, 25mm - 40mm (Pack of 10)
Had my state inspection done at Toyota of Richardson (TX). Going in I knew my boots were leaking. They said that I needed the CVs replaced for $1200. Needless to say I am going to get a syringe, grease, and some clamps and cross my fingers.
If that doesn’t work I might try a local mom and pop shop.
i have an OEM reboot kit sitting in my garage if anyone wants it $50 shipped.

Mine have been torn and split completely for the past 6,000miles or so
Lazy to replace the axle
Say a prayer for me..
Ps, what's the worst case scenario? Snap and lose a wheel?
Front driver side of that makes a difference

I just changed my axles with OEM reman's. Decided to keep my originals and reboot to have spares. Honestly though, looking back (and knowing what I know know), I'd just reboot. It's not really that much extra work like some indicate. Sure, that assumes no stubborn nuts, bolts, screws, parts, etc...
I'd say if it's a recently torn boot (w/ little miles driven in that condition), a reboot is a totally viable job for a moderate DIY'er. I got spooked and went with new axles. That's not to say I think I decided wrong, just that I don't think it's too much more involved. Just make sure you get all your parts.
If the axle has been run with a torn boot for a while, then grit and grime could have damaged the joint surfaces or the tripod bearings. That would be more involved and a straight axle swap is way easier. With the prices of axles, I'd still keep the OEM and try to rebuild it, or at least make a decent assessment of how worthwhile it would be.

Has anyone experienced a chronic CV boot clamp failure? In my case it's the small clamp of the outboard boot on the driver's side. I noticed the OEM clamp failed at ~90k and I replaced the axle with a Cardone and now the exact same clamp has failed again. Neither time did I find damage to the boot.
My suspension is completely stock except for harder front sway bushings and a heavier rear sway bar. I turned the steering full left and full right and it looks like I've got miles of clearance between the affected clamp and everything else.
Anyone have any theories as to what's happening? Thanks.
