These a direct fit for our trucks? So resistor soldering?
I wonder if they come in different colors.

They are nearly a direct fit. You might have trouble with some of them going in because the circular shaped board that the LEDS are mounted to is sometimes not concentric to the bulb holder. It can make it hard to get it in the bulb enclosure. I also found a few that had flaws from the injection molding process. Make sure you check the portion of the bulb holder that cams onto the circuit board. They are still usable you just have to remove some flash that is leftover. They already have a resistor so you are good to go. If you want to save some time, when you have your HVAC out use a multi meter to find the positive and negative sides on the circuit board. I think someone may have some pics they took of some symbols you can look for on the board, but I had trouble finding them and did it by guessing. I should have just pulled out the meter and checked. I think they also come in blue and maybe some other colors.

Are the bulbs in the 4runner cluster the same size as the bulbs in the hvac controls as well as the bulbs in all of our switches?

Is the size difference basically the length of the bulb? I know some bulbs are long and some are very short and stubby.

My only concern with kits like this is the quality of the bulbs. I paid about $120 total for all my interior and some exterior (license plate, running board lights, parking lights) LEDs. They are stupid bright and have a lifetime warranty with Sylvania(?).
I purchased a kit for like that, although it was around $10-15, easy install and they worked perfect.

When I bought my used 2007 4Runner V8, several of the console lights were out. I'm not sure which controls have lights. Could someone "enlighten" me?
Do these have bulbs and if so, what are the Toyota part #'s?

I posted the oem diagram and pns for the hvac. Each "yosh2000 hvac" in goodle, should be one of the first results. The rear window is a neo3 (same size as hvac backlight) and the 4wd dial is a neo4 (same size as info display). I cannot confirm if they are the same bulbs used in the hvac, but I would assume they would be
