What are you on about? Dealerships giving incorrect information? A campaign of disinformation that is sweeping across the country and the Toyota 4Runner is at the center of it? Living in a post-truth society? Epstein didn't kill himself? What's really grinding your gears here?

FWIW I installed a Pro-ject VT-E turntable with a Line Magnetic preamp in my 4Runner and while my vinyl collection weighs a lot and it skips and ruins my records most of the time, I think it was a great upgrade. CDs are cool, but there's nothing that sounds like vinyl. Vinyl records will outsell CDs for the first time since 1986.

Neither 4Runner description mentions CD or CD player. Are you upset because you thought your 4Runner had a CD player and it doesn’t?

Nope. Careful readers of the original post understand that none of the 2020s have CD Players. Name your city; I’ll post a 2020 4Runner listing from a dealership in that city indicating that the vehicle includes a CD player.

My crime in this forum is wondering why Toyota lists CD players as standard equipment in a vehicle that has no such thing. Pervasively an universally.

Increasingly bemused by the fanboys and apologists who defend / dismiss Toyota’s error. To be expected in a community of a cult vehicle, I suppose. Still amusing to see.

I was just wondering why the error. But that brought out the knives. Hilarious!

I get it—fanboys will excuse the nationwide misinformation as a corporate oversight that no one should care about. That’s okay. We’re supposed to be settling into a post-truth society.

But if you don’t think it’s happening? That’s a whole different level. Name a city with a Toyota dealership that sells 4Runners. Those are the dealers listing CD players as standard 2020 equipment. I’ll be happy to find the listing for you.

I'm with Nevada, that sentence makes no sense?? A main reason I just picked up the 2019 over a 2020 is because they discontinued the cd player. You can see it by looking at the new entertainment unit. Nothing there.

You seem very upset about my simple question. So I have to ask: are you getting enough ketchup? Ketchup contains natural mellowing agents that can help its consumers from becoming Internet pugilists.

It’s one thing to be a fun-loving enthusiast of something like a motor vehicle. Give your rig a name, by all means. Upgrade suspension, wheels, tires, ... supercharge it if that’s your thing.

Becoming a ravenous fanboy hellbent on defending every Toyota/4Runner flaw as evidence of Perfection is another thing. It’s not healthy. It may be beyond ketchup’s capabilities.

At least you were right about how fun I am to be around. You’re clearly a keen observer of the human condition.
