Turns out my friend and I can't stick around to camp :( It sounded like fun. We are able to come up on the 24th and be around all day. My dad managed to fix my transmission. It had 6 gallons of fluid it in! someone definitely didn't take care of it or just didn't care. Now he runs like brand new and this weekend I'm going to replace the brake cylinder. Its leaking. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone next month

Glad to hear you got the trans fixed and that it's not gonna interfere with the ride!

For those who have been here, is it just this one trail that leads up to the top of the mountain or are there more in this area that we can access. Also I couldnt find much on this but what i found was that it is basically a service road with a couple of ruts and stuff from rain. Im just curious if this is going to be worth a 4.5 hour drive.

For the most part you're right. We prerode it a couple of weeks ago and it's pretty mild for the most part. It's got some fun sections but doable for everyone. It's got some rutted sections, mud, and some smaller rocks. It's not Tellico but worth the drive IMO. We picked here because it has access to a few other surrounding areas that can get a little more difficult. Bell mtn is up the road and Bend n Hickory isn't too far away and there may be more but I'm not sure. We just had to pick a place friendly to everyone for a meet. It's gonna be good time and you should definitely come out if you can. Let us know if you have any more questions.
 
I'm sure you can count me and my girl in, might have to bring the dogs as well, lol. This looks to be an awesome event and I can't wait. Also my gf/fiancé wants a t4r herself since she totaled her Jetta vr6 and has been borrowing my truck lol.

Sounds good! The more the merrier!!! Let her get a 4runner if that's what she wants. That way you'll have you a back up 4runner!!
 
Yeah I love my 3rd, I think she started to like it when we weren't trapped at home during the snow/ice storms and now that I let her borrow it to run errands she's wanting one more.
 
This is looking to be one very fun weekend, I might have to head up after work (3pm sat) but we'll see how the big cheese wants the shop run that Saturday.
 
Put me down as a maybe. Probably won't camp, but I'd like to come out and BS with everyone and take a ride up the mountain! I'll post up sooner to the ride with a definite yes or no. Thanks!

Im in as long as everything goes smooth at GSMTR. I will not be able to be there until sat night, gotta work saturday.
 
I'm a noob to posting on the forum here (been reading here for a while though) ...Count me in! I'll probably have at least one buddy and his 4runner too, but I'll post again when I find out.

Trying to work this out. I have SAR training that day but it may get pushed until the next weekend after. I'll update ASAP when I find out.
