Halo Angel eye install Dark Knight inspired

Got them installed finally.... They look great to me

Have a few pics of the last few items I had to do with wiring...
I glued and wedged the little angel eye boxes below the low beam frame work.
Ran the wire up to the vent and out then capped it back off.
I used scotch locks for now and hooked the angel eyes to the parking lights.
BAD NEWS.... Some how when I was putting the lens back on I slightly melted one of them, I am hoping it will sand and buff out. My oven sucks...
A while back I had my lights sanded and buffed... I am kind of wishing I went with new lens all that work and my lens looks just ok.... Over all I am happy need to water test them soon... I will keep ya'll posted....

Anyone know if you can buy a lens kit only???

They are so bright at night almost looks like my high beams are on. That might be a bad thing...

The guy was able to pretty much sand out the melted mark on the drivers side and polish both lenses pretty damn clear

it's a PITA but with time and patience, it's worth it to me....

The halos them self are 200 light werks I think is the brand or light wurks. I bought them off ebay while back. I would assume a paint person would charge 20 to 50 to paint bezel/trim. The mounting of the halos is cheap, glue and wire. The rest is having some tools and time. I bought a cheap Dremel type tool off Amazon. I bought loaner head lights off ebay too. So I could take my time. I hope to sell the brand new sport head lamps when I'm ready to sell them.

General shots after head lamp lenses cleaned up

I slightly melted the drivers side lens cause of my stupid oven, but the guy was able to get most of it out but if you look real close there is a blem you can point out for sure but over all it looks good. Who knows I may pry off the lenes from the brand new "loaner" head lamp assemblys. "Loaner" being the head lamps I bought off ebay a while back to do the this whole halo light stuff.... Overall so far so good. Still undecided If I am going to run them as DRL or both DRL and head light mode. I don't think I want to use them as blinkers....

am yet to see anybody install them on the 03 - 05 headlight assy...i wonder why?...i bought the orion angeleyes from lightwurkz $200, but got cold feet!...had to buy the ready made drop in hid kit from spec d, the rings in the spec d are not anywhere as bright as the lightwurkz halos.........almost invisible in daylight!

I am sure that someone will come out with a drop in for the 06-09??? but as you said above they are kind of a let down in general as far as the halos go...
I don't blame you for getting cold feet on the 03-05 since nobody has attempted to do some kind of custom install yet that I know of...

Might be easier to buy a set of 06-09 and retro fit those to the truck after modified with the halos of you're choice...

I am not sure??? To DRL only or to not??

I was driving behind my girl's car and she said the lights were uber bright....
She has a 06 hyundia sonata.... I do have hid light kits in the low beams and of course the halo lights... I have to admit the halo lights are pretty darn bright even without the low beams on. With that being said... Should I use them as DRL only??? I guess I will have to get her to drive my truck while I drive her car at night one of these days...

Over all so far so good... Everyone seems to like the halos and color match effect.

I like the halos but I really wish the actual halo was clear and didn't have that white back ground to them. My girl likes the ring around the low beam look... I wish you couldn't really see the rings at all with them off...

Anyone know of some halos that are clear and bright?????

[MENTION=83982]dccgrillz[/MENTION] looks great man! Always unique how the halos look on different color 4runners. I have mine in white but I always wanted one in black like Dark Knights.

I should of went with tiny wires as well to mount the rings as I used skinny zip ties but still noticeable upfront.

I forgot to measure the rings them selfs....

I bought that brand because I knew they would fit well... I didn't want to spend the money on them but glad I did..... they are bright and pretty high quality...

The parts I need to measure are int he attic, next time I go up there I will snap those pics

If you buy some blacked out head lamps off ebay it would be a bit cheaper
I just sold my loaner pair to a local craigslister $100.00

The same exact halo rings are about 200.00 (last time I checked)

Some head lamps to modify are about 150.00 for china bay ones ( I would assume youre runner is the daily driver so you will need a temp. pair of head lamps)

If you want the head lamps pieces painted to match you're truck its another 50.00

My labor to do the whole thing I'd say is 250-200 (its a PITA)

It adds up pretty quick for just looks. Honestly I cant think of a reason to need halos besides maybe safety since they are so bright in the day time....
