Headlight adjusting plastic clips broke

This looks like the part.

Yes it sort of does as its plastic and looks like it holds that threaded screw adjustment that goes on the headlight.

I know I can clean up the metal screw adjustment as mine arent rusted much.

I pull my headlights off my parts mobile and see if I can practice on them first that way I dont make my situation worse on the one I am driving. Thanks for getting back to the thread. Greatly appreciated.

Nice work HiLife! You have no idea how hard I looked for this part. The headlamp bearing I looked at the Dealer must have been a different part number. We were even looking up part numbers on other year 4Runners. Not sure how I got so off track. I was also looking for the part with the square hole in the middle that gets held by two screws. Any idea what the part number could be for that? I think it's the part that gets broken. At least it was in my case.

I don't think the dealers have this part number as it came off another site. They want you to buy the entire assembly.

Are you talking about the metal that this headlight bearing goes into on the light that has the 2 screws in it?

I'm assuming that you need to order the whole headlamp sub assembly just to get the metal support that holds the headlight bearing. So frushtraiting that Toyota does that.
Wrecking yards may be the best bet of getting that piece.
Kinda busy to look through my parts storage right now but, I may have spares. Interested?)

Thanks for the offer but I already replaced my headlights with later year aftermarket headlights on my 97. Mostly because I couldn't find these parts to fix my stock headlights. I was only asking the part number to help members doing future searches. Bummer that part is not available.

One would think that would be able to be purchased. However, those are probably included in the headlight assembly and not sold separately.

Oh man, after hours of searching I found this thread! Thanks guys thats the part ive been wanting for years. had to get through so many wrong threads to find this. I was trying to 3d print but its a little funky.

So many people say go to a junkyard which doesnt help since you find old crusty parts that will break when you pull them.

The weird thing is the 2nd gen has tons of kits on ebay and amazon that includes all the parts in one kit.

Toyota 81128-22630 Bearing is the right part.
