Trim Paint on rear bumper valence

I bought some Rustoleum® Trim Paint for my rear bumper valence.

In my opinion, it is a little too glossy for my liking, but for now its a nice refresh for such a faded piece of plastic.

I have an extra one that i will try the heat gun approach to compare since i prefer a more OEM type look.

I passed over it at different angles approximately 6-7 times, starting with light coats then laying it on a little heavier as I got closer to the last couple coats

In preparation for this weekend's Oceano Dune OHV event (Pismo Beach Dunes), with the help of [MENTION=133963]GGFerrier[/MENTION] ....

we got everything put together for the red LED lighted whip.

>> installed BLUESEA fuse box in engine bay for future connections & used a OEM switch that pulls from the cigarette lighter illumination wires

BASIC PARTS NEEDED:

various gauge wire (12-14 gauge for long wire runs & 4 gauge for fuse box to battery)
heat shrink
TechFlex
OEM fog switch
bluesea fuse box
Wire strippers
butt connectors/wire connector ends
electrical tape
metal clothes hanger (fish wire through firewall)


We were concerned about the LED whip not having a good enough ground to function because of the Line-X on the CB antenna mount. So we wrapped an additional wire around the thread and ran it to ground to the body behind the tail light.

power wire was ran through the rear tail light grommet.

Well done on the gas door, I am a big fan! But I admittedly am addicted to line-x...finally installed my license plate bezel (love it!)...if you want, I can get my old one sprayed for you if you are interested.

soooooo unbelievably interested its not even funny...


every time i bring an item to my guy that does line-x in my area, he constantly is telling me about he's not going to be able to do it & blah blah blah... especially on plastic...

so a big YES PLEASE!!!!

How do you like the air raid intake tube? You notice anything other than the sound of the motor? How much dynamat did you have to use for the back?

definitely love the air raid tube and paired with the DECK PLATE mod on the air box the thing is very loud.... it almost sounds likes i have an exhaust system or something... it definitely feels faster and sounds way louder...

Dynamat is still in the works but i only order one bulk pack from eBay and i will be order 1 more to complete the job...

1 order did my rear and 1-2 doors....
