Dang. Now I'm torn. I have money down on a non-KDSS version at $500 under MSRP. But, mine won't be in until Christmas and it is mysteriously Magnetic Gray Metallic which I'm not sure exists. Also, I don't have a VIN yet.
Am I being mis-led?

Sales manager here in Texas said ALL the ones delivered for this region had KDSS/Nav and were black,silver or red. Only 17 total and most were sold!He saw a silver one like I originally wanted in San Antonio and could have put my name on it.Even though when I tried "Build your Own" on Toyotas website it did'nt have gray as an option his little cheat sheat binder on 2010 4runners had gray and blue. He said Trail ed's were priced at MSRP or over and will Not budge where I'm paying $1200 under for a Limited 4x4 loaded.

You are probably not being mis led just they don't have any in gray available and don't know when they will.They are trying to sell you a car and not go someplace else!!

Is there an exit clause that you can cancel if they don't deliver the vehicle to you in a timely manner? Are there any other dealers around your area?

At this point I could probably cancel with no problems because they have blown the October and November deadlines. But I won't know if they are going to blow the December deadline until we get closer to it. At that point, it may be too late to find an alternative Trail Edition elsewhere on short notice (1-2 weeks).

Yep, Shoreline blue ,coming later in 2009,but you can also see on the website no mention of gray although I saw it in the dealers spiral bound handbook as you saw it . Who knows, because the salsa reds ARE already here.

Here's a Salsa Red one but no VIN and World Toyota says it is not allocated to them. There is a screw up in the SE inventory where all the Trails say they are going to World Toyota but none of them in fact are.

Hey, jt_4rnr, could you please measure the ground clearance at the LOWEST POINT of this new 4runner? I know it is advertised to have 9.6" minimum but I SERIOUSLY doubt that it does. That would be AMAZING if you could. Please specify where you did it and how many inches it was. Thank you!
