What VLED bulb did you end up using for gauges? I am not seeing #24 on their site. Assuming this is for your '99...
Well, this thread is a bit of a mess with a lot of info that was never updated in the original post, but somewhere there is a post that for 99+ you can just stick a 74 in there. That's what I did and I picked white. I'll try to take a picture tonight and post.

As far as map lights go, BA9’s are kind of annoying because you can’t find them commercially, at least I haven’t been able to. Is there anybody who has fitted another bulb in their map light housing, like an 1156 or something alike? One of mine actually just burned out this morning, so it looks like I have to put something back in there. I want to do red this time also. Any comments or feedback with experiences?

Is there something about those bulbs that you aren't happy with? I haven't had any issues with mine.
BA9 is the type of base that the map light needs. You can look for other companies who sell BA9 base bulbs that might better suit you, or if you really want to use something else, and are feeling handy, you could get something like this and build your own.

I’m going to shoot my shot at trying an 1156 (Sylvania Zevo, link here) and seeing if those work. If they don’t, at least I can return them for free!
The base on those is a BA15, so it will be too large to fit. BA is mini bayonet which is the type of base, and the number in this case 9 or 15 is the diameter in millimeters.
The 24 and 74 are slightly different sizes 2x4.6 and 2.1x4.9. When I did my dash lighting, I think most of the lights were actually NEO 3 and NEO 4.

You used the NEO bulbs for the odometer and everything? The chart shows that mine (01) takes a 24, but I’ve heard that 24/74 are able to be used for the odometer
I can't remember what I used for the odometer or if I did it at all. I'm pretty sure the gauge backlighting was NEO, and less sure that most of the rest was NEO. I don't believe I touched the odometer, but it's been a couple of years so it's a bit fuzzy. Looking back at receipts, I know that I needed to order additional NEO3 and NEO4 bulbs because what I originally ordered based on the chart wasn't enough. I have a 2000 limited, so the specifics of the gauge bulbs may be different between our cars.
Here are a couple of shots of my 99' cluster. The backlights are 6K white's from VLED's, the rest are color matched VLED's. All bulbs, including the backlights, are 74's. The base that the backlights go into is a different color than the other, but it has the same writing on it (TOSHIBA T4 or something). Anyway, the 74's seem to be working fine as backlights with no hotspots. Others have reported the same.

VERY clean looking! I'd love to do a white dash but my climate controls have been converted to amber/orange and I'm not sure how it would clash. Not the biggest fan of having an orange dash due to CEL and low gas lights being very similar
Thanks. Interestingly, I had forgotten that I ordered a couple of the Samsung 24's linked elsewhere in this post so I'm going to throw them in maybe tomorrow and do a comparison to see which looks better. I'm very happy with how the VLED's came out though.

The cluster bulbs are
"Plastic Wedge 3X 5630 Samsung" $5.99 each. 230 degree beam angle eliminates the hot spots (I got white)
The website is awful, so just look for the only ones that are $5.99 and it's those. You'll need 3 for the cluster
Still have trouble with the 3 dash #24’s!
I feel like I’ve tried everything so I’m coming back to this thread for help. I followed this tutorial and it was very helpful in getting all of my bulbs replaced, however the three Dash 24s just won’t light up.
One was burning when I went to do the replacement, two were out. Now I have none.
I started with LED replacements and have now gone back to the original bulbs and neither work. I’ve connected the bulbs, even after plugging them in to the housings, to a 9v battery so I know everything works.
Once I get everything plugged back in the dash, I get blinkers, other dash lights, etc...but instrument panels are dark as can be.
Any ideas? I appreciate any help you guys can offer.
