Magnuson Supercharger for 2010-Present & 2010-2014 FJ

I don't understand why they would ever post this picture. its IS scary looking probably to most.
I think they're banking on the idea that "any press is good press". But yes, scary looking nest of wires!

The latest from Gadget with the Whipple kit. Also to let you know how big of a ***** getting to your ECM is

If I remember correctly, getting the ECM out is not big deal at all. You remove the kick panel and it is right there... with pretty easy access. All that mess is not the stock ECU.

Another update from gadget

Please create new thread for URD products. I would hate to get information confused and mixed around. A new Magnuson unit will be going on very soon and I will provide info.

For those that had issues with sourcing the ECM, when hooking up most scan tools the ECM will pop up as two CAL I'd. Let me know if you continue to still have issues. It's important to have those placed on the application. A lot of content and info coming tomorrow.

Slightly off-topic, they ever mention if they were going to redo thee 4.7L 2UZ-FE Blowers? :becky:

I lost the old HD I had TIS running on and I can't seem to get it to install and connect on 64bit... my other scan tool will not show the cal ID... So I'm SOL right now. I even purchased another cable thinking that might be it... but no dice. I'm sure I can eventually get TIS running again, but I need time to either find more hardware or get a VM up that can support it. PITA for sure. Anti-Virus not linking any of the drivers...

I ended up installing a VM on my 64bit laptop. Works flawlessly now.

That picture reminds me of what it looks like when wiring in a Megasquirt or similar ECU. Definitely not something you would see from a completed package.

So, I finally got Toyota TIS up and running on a VM. I found the calID for the ECM on the stored data screen. But I can't find the ECM P/N. Anyone know the screen and how to navigate to it.

THESS
BlackWorksInc

any ideas.

They are asking for calID and ECM P/N.. Says usually listed on the vehicle ID screen.

Ah, crap... Uhm... It should be there when you're looking at the calibration page. I haven't bothered looking at the part number through TIS because usually I'll just snag it off the ECM itself if I need it.

I'll try and remember to play around with it tomorrow at work and see if I can get you a solid answer. :(

I can tell this much about the graph for sure.

The lines cross at 5252 :first:.

The tq is 30x
The HP is 3xx

It's a chassis dyno, stock they usually are in the 240tq/220hp range.. 350hp is all I ever wanted and it will obviously stomp a v8 GX in terms of acceleration... not that it matters, but something to measure up against on the same platform.

Seems like things will net out near the +100 flywheel hp/tq range. Close to +35% which is very good for a conservative boost setup.

I'm excited to put one on and turn up the smile meter.

@WFO9

Checked today and don't see an option to get P/N of the ECM through TIS, gonna have to get it manually off the side of the ECM. Sorry mate.
